Heyman, I do think the new course load is weighing heavy on this team. Everything weighs heavy on Meeks. I can't wait to see what the Crazies have in store tonight for the academic issues at Carolina. They better be on top of it and make laugh, and laugh and laugh.

I actually thought of Gerald when I was coming up with the poll, and then forgot to put him in it. I should have put AFAM and Mary Willingham in it too.

To be honest, GTHC, there is not enough room on this site for all the excuses UNC has about or following a game. OFC

I can honestly say I have need to THR less than five times in my life, probably. I just don't care what they have to say. Now, Rupp Rafters on the other hand is pure entertainment.

Refs as always & how about temperature inside Cameron. Too hot or cold, baby blue faithful can make up any excuse. Even when Duke won almost every matchup from '99 through '05, there was always an excuse.

You left out several really huge ones, like, Meeks had a 101 fever two weeks ago. Marcus Paige foot is still a little sore. Tokoto has a band aid on his left elbow. Stuff like that.

Joel Berry not getting enough playing time because he is the best freshman point guard in the nation, Nate Britt's mascera running into his eyes due to the intense heat, and long lasting effects of Kendall Marshall's broken forearm.

I'm with you Dirt. These kinds of threads give me bad vibes. I want the win first. Then we can gloat. Until then, I am staying out of this one.

duke is favored by 8 last i heard, so who needs excuses. here's hoping for the traditionally good games we usually enjoy playing each other. at least dickie isn't calling the game. that's almost a win for me!

No excuse if we lose. Duke is clearly the better team and has been since 2010.

Attended the Duke @ UNC game last year, their post game celebration showed how fortunate they felt to beat the model program.

I am a bit cautious as a rule about boasting until I have a reason. I highly recommend we wait until after the game.
