I see nothing productive coming out of this if we continue on this path. Again, maybe you can help me. I am wondering why you won't pay this money. Was this a bet, or a promise? Are you not paying simply because you don't want to? I mean, the host of this board says you are a man of your word. But some of the evidence seems to suggest you are not.

Are you not paying because you don't have the money? If that is the reason it's no big deal. I don't think anyone will think less of you if that is why and I certainly won't. Sometimes we bite off more than we can chew. It happens. I am trying to be patient here. Help me out.

This is the only year that ESL would have been 5A and the guys listed on that example are from different teams.

3 of those guys transferred in which goes against what Bones was talking about when he was making the original argument. Most 5A or lower schools are located where transfers typically don't happen and there is not an option for any additional benefits like transfers etc.

From my understanding is the team that won 5A was better than the current Naz team that won 7A this year. Bones felt that team should have played in 7A that year which would have been the in line with the type of team they had. Jwar and other people felt that same team should have been 5A simply because the non multiplied enrollment is 5A. It was a dumb argument by Jwar and the crew because that team could have won 7A or 8A that year just like this year. I could be getting my years mixed up but I believe they played LWW who hasn't had no where near the same playoff success as Naz after being moved up with there additional kids. Naz is an example of the success factor working even though there are some that will still argue just to go against IHSA.

Review the history of this thread. Don't try to turn this around on other people. That's the weakest argument you can make. If someone didn't make the pledge and then renege, we wouldn't even be having this conversation and would be talking about something else. That's the bottom line. Personally, I don't give a damn where the money was supposed to go.

I don't know about you, but I don't go around making promises and pledges I don't keep or don't intend to keep. So, I am not going to "pitch in" and pay a debt for someone who is irresponsible and refuses to accept accountability for his actions and made a statement before knowing the facts. Your idea of others pitching in for someone's lack of accountability is offensive.

Charity is for people who can't help themselves or have fallen on hard times. We all donate to those people. It is not for people who are irresponsible.

And when you say the constant belittling of someone is childish, I agree, But you had better be including everyone in that accusation...including him, because he does it 10 times more than anyone else here. We all know it. We've all read it. I just don't like anyone who goes around making a promise while having no intention of fulfilling the promise. I don't care if it was a free lunch. Just do what you say you are going to do. That's not very hard and that's what people teach their kids. I don't care who the person is who did this. It just happened to be him. I'd say the same thing to anyone else.
