Polls: preseason AP Class 8A thru Class 1A Top 10

All.... The newspaper articles I keep viewing have ESL and JCA both at 114 points in a tie for 5A? Ratsy
The fact that ESL is not the unanimous pre season #1 in 5A shows how ridiculous the AP polls are.
How many people left ESL off their ballot all together for them to have nearly 4x the first place votes and still have 4 less points all together. I think too many AP voters can't see outside Chicagoland. Or maybe assumed they were in a different division?
So the AP polls are saying St. Rita is opening the season at home vs the #1 5A team and then on the road vs the #1 6A team and then on the road vs the #1 8A team and then on the road vs the #3 5A team? Yikes
While that is an impressive schedule, the AP Poll folks will be extremely impressed.
Saw the same; a tie for and listed ESL first didn’t know if that was due to more 1st place votes or alphabetical
