Kylar Murray managed to do it at OK and won the heisman. I think he was drafted by the A’s b4 his heisman winning year. Not saying the avg joe can do that but it’s possible

If he's so unhappy, then why would the OC recruit him? My take: UK needs to take recruiting chances bigger programs don't.

I dont know if the OC is unhappy with him or not. But I can assure you he would rather have his QB at spring practice instead of baseball season. But like you said maybe he is good enough to take a gamble on. I believe Jamis "Crableg" Winston played baseball at FSU and led them to a championship.

Spring football has become a glorified walk through these days anyway. Too many agents involved terrified thier meal tickets will get injured. Don't see him playing baseball in Spring as problem in this era.

Maybe you are correct, and likely would be for every other position. But a QB isn't getting hit in the spring or someone is in the doghouse. The reads, the timing, if it weren't important why are so many kids entering in Jan and giving up their Sr yr activities? But with kids like him you have to be flexible to sign him. But imo, missing spring practice will always put him in position to making up ground.
