WVU beat Kansas and Texas Tech but ranks below both in the national rankings.

And lost by only 5 points to #1 Gonzaga. To #9 Oklahoma by 1 in DOUBLE OVERTIME and #12 Texas by 2.

And beat #15 Texas Tech TWICE.

And lost 4 games against Top 13 teams by an average of 3.25 points.

Obviously, WVU can stand in there with anyone.

But #13 and #15 in the rankings? Really?

Go figure.

Fortunately, in basketball, unlike football, rankings become irrelevant when March Madness starts with 68 teams. Win 6 straight games and you’re national champs.

But the obvious disrespect for Huggins Heroes, particularly since Oscar left the team and it improved so much, is irritating.

What rankings are you looking at? I don't see WVU behind Kansas in the AP, Coaches, or Net Rankings. Texas Tech is ahead of them in the Coaches and NET Rankings, but behind them in the AP. Both Texas Tech and WVU are 14-6, and it would seem WVU is better than them, but I believe TTU has the better NET ranking, based on other factors, which may or may not make any sense. Personally, I'm not sold on TTU. They beat Oklahoma twice, and Texas once, so maybe they have that going for them, but most of their wins are against stiffs.

13 and 15 sounds good to me. Should be glad for that. Texas Tech beat OU twice. How many times did we beat OU? Oh that's right ZERO.

Losing games is losing games. Doesn't matter by how many points. Moved up in both polls with a loss. So what's your beef?

I’m confused. On both polls that you posted, Kansas is below WVU. In your rant, you said Kansas is above WVU. Not sure what your issue is.

SORRY, I DIDN'T NOTICE THAT KANSAS DROPPED BELOW WVU IN RANKINGS. PREVIOUSLY, THEY WERE ABOVE WVU. I APOLOGIZE. I PRIDE MYSELF ON ACCURACY DURING MY 43-YEAR NEWSPAPER CAREER THAN INCLUED 2 DECADES AS A SPORTSWRITER.

Another one of Kansas wins is Texas Tech at Lubbock and OU at home.

KU won against WVU on Dec. 22, 2020.
