This has to really eat at his ego. Lost 7 of 8 to UK. Has NEVER beaten UNC and now Duke will annually kick his arse. He needs to get better on the recruiting trail and quit signing big men from Egypt

Pitino just can't recruit anymore. And the only reason he's able to get players
from Africa is because no one there has ever heard of Karen Sypher or Porcini.

This could be Pitino's last year with UL..Next year could look like IU......NIT at best....they lose Harrell, Blackshear,, Jones,,,,Rozier..And nothing coming in that would help much

Heard he just locked down a home and away annual series with the Cleaveland Clinic All Stars. That should bump up the RPI.

No......they probably wish they were back in the Missouri Valley, as it is today, or back in the OVC.

louisville's OOC schedule, since Pitino, has been laughable.

This wouldn't surprise me at all. He'll leave when he's "done", the state of the program/roster left behind for successor won't a factor.

One would think that if Rozier is getting the vibe that he'll be drafted in the first round that he's gone. As already mentioned in this thread the UL roster is going to be crap next year.....unless Rick is able to bring in some serious OAD type talent (yeah, right).

So the question to me is, does Rick want to stay around and get his *** handed to him in the ACC for the next 2 or 3 years? I'm saying probably not.

Pitino got away with recruiting decent players before. But the ACC is changing his ways quickly as he is now recruiting the top players harder. He has stock piled too many mediocre players for this conference so a couple of those poor guys will be hitting the road soon and they probably don't even see it coming.

is amazing how bad his recruiting has been, horrible in some ways, gambling on shag and woo types. Considering he just won a NC it has done absolutely nothing for him in the aspect.
