I feel bad for the poor schmuck assigned to write todays' hard hitting piece in the Bergen Record. It must have involved extensive research putting together figures on salaries of college basketball coaches here in New Jersey. Lead article front page of sports. Packed house at Rutgers with an enthusiastic crowd behind a team that was obviously exhausted playing its' collective heart out. Actual story of game on page 3. This poor guy had to feel like a dead man walking getting this assignment. Shame on the assignment editor/administrative staff at The Record. All of this information is public record and has been printed over and over again. To time this article and picture of coach with the recent success of our team is reprehensible.
