I guess I’ll be one of the few that think the coaching staff is good. Results for this year are not good but I think that is almost purely a roster construction problem and put that on Pope. We have the staff to get secure highly rated players but they have to be given the green light. My opinion is Pope went too hard this off season on “the right fit”. He wanted guys that he thought understood what it meant to play at Kentucky and appreciated the opportunity and those guys didn’t fit. He will learn from this and bring in more talented players next year and allow these assistants to actually use their recruiting talents.

What has Jason Hart done? Yell in a huddle? He couldn’t even land a kid who was going to play for him at OT Elite.

This. The staff would've been elite pre nil with hart and ab3. Now those two just basically completely overlap.

I actually think ab3 is the superior assistant because of his traditional recruiting infrastructure and relationships whereas hart was just there to snag the semi pros; and he isn't doing that at all. So he should be gone.

Fuegor is untouchable because he owns the offense.

Fox is worthless. Fire him and get a real assistant and real GM.

I don't even know the other guys' names so they're probably just fungible bodies.

Unfortunately probably have to hire a defensive hard nosed guy. When people brought this up early in the season, I was villainized for pointing out if we have an offensive coach and a defensive coach - what does the head coach do? I stand by that opinion in basketball.

Mikhail McLean is so irrelevant that I forget he's on the staff half the time. Evidently, he was the one who did a lot of the communicating with families about NIL during last year's portal cycles. Someone had reported on here that he was going after Ian Jackson. A lot of good that one did us.

Fuegar is our John Welch, but the issue is that Fox gives us next to nothing, Hart has been massively underachieving as a lead recruiter, Brooks III was never an elite recruiter, and McLean is forgettable.

For being a Kentucky staff, there are zero killers on this staff. Reminds me of the midpoint of Tubby's time here, when his assistants were all basically the same guy and none of them were killers.
David Hobbs and Scott Rigot were better than these dudes.
