We are not playing Amari right in this game. Have Carr or the other big at 45 degree on the 3 point line and have Amari park inside and feed him. . That will force Calipari to either play zone or double team. Both situations that will open the 3 for us.
And please speed them up…..

We have a small sample but so for, identified one big weakness for Pope: understanding balancing between the strength / weaknesses of our team vs strengths and weakness of the opposing team.
when he misses the game plan we are not even in the game. Our losses to Ohio State or Arkansas or Vandy were embarrassing as far as game plan.
I am not counting Clemson and Bama though the game plan was bad there too , because he made s8me adjustments.
I wonder if he delegates the game preparation or if he does it by rotation between different assistants. Cause there is a huge difference between different game preparations.

Big mistakes tonight:
-Tempo of the game . We played Arkansas tempo whole game .
- never pressed, didn’t put a guy on the back court on Wagner who is their only handler of the ball , until 1 minute left when they had their turnover.
- move away from his analytical principles . 3> 2: all teams took the 3 away from AR ( Davis and Ivisic ) and just let them drive, we packed 8inside like we played TN.
- not taking advantage of the one position where our athlecism was superior the 5. This was game where you parked Amari inside and run the flex via the 4. Instead Amari had to work to hard and even to play point forward….
- line ups : the start of the game was great … but to play Chandler over Brea? Why play Carr when he is not 100%? He cannot defend and he is not the shooter that Almanor is.
- why we putting non 3 shooters in the corner? Garrison, Oweh, Amaria?
- why we are forcing only the flex action and not use the whole offensive arsenal already displayed?
- I heard you say that on Ft your coaching staff doesn’t alter the form because you are relying on the players knowledge from previously acquired…. When where your boys are shooting 50% from FT…you are not going to win many games..
- and finally why not listen to your coach who said don’t boo Cal and players? You just gave them extra ammunition .
