It’s odd to me. Wasn’t like that as a player. But whatever. I’m done overthinking it. He is what he is. Just hope he’s gone very soon, but afraid he won’t be.

He's good at what he does (he's been doing it for decades), but that's got to be frustrating for Leech.

It's like "Hey man, giving you a chance to talk to the fan base here...." and then Pope does that.

I can't imagine going to my boss and being questioned about a project going wrong with those answers.

"So how are you going to fix the past mistakes"
"Try harder"
"What did you say to your team members"
"Lots of things."

My *** would be written up if not worse on the spot. And I'm not making millions to do my job.

All of this has to be piling up on Pope. Losses. Not landing recruits. Being owned by coaches. Crazy fanbase. Will he keep on doing this after this year?

I think he likes coaching and teaching (just like Cal did) but his inability to recruit consistently is hurting him. I think he can go to a smaller school and kill it there.

Agreed. I think, as a matter of principles, he doesn't agree with the whole NIL thing. Dealing with the entitlement, the primadonnas.

That's strange then. Surely that's still in him somewhere. He better find it soon. I thought he was about to change his demeanor after benching Garrison but it looks like he's reverted back to his old ways.
