Dude you’re talking to the wrong guyYou guys still want Pope fired ?

Do you know what time my Raiders play?I'm also a Bears fan. I live about a half-hour southwest of Chicago.
Hopefully the weekend unfolds like it did last weekend, with the Kentucky comeback followed by a Bear's victory!
Comical considering you were on the fire pope train 2 weeks ago. Pretty self righteous of you. Guy still has red flags in his coaching clearly, no reason to be going down double digits in every gamePeople that like Pope are not bumbling fools without grasp on reality. I still believe in my coach.
I’d say most people who like Pope can acknowledge he isn’t without blemishes. I only spoke for me btw. I know many don’t trust the coach. I do. I regret losing faith like I did. I believe Pope has a lot to offer and can still be great long term. Regardless, you and me — both fans of the same school. No need to @ me after the game with this stuff. Enjoy the win.Comical considering you were on the fire pope train 2 weeks ago. Pretty self righteous of you. My problem with most Pope bashers is only when they are over the top or just downright unfair. He deserves a lot of criticism for tge construction of this roster, no question whatsoever. He also deserves SOME criticism for recruiting, though JMI has something to do with that, and, knowing how the portal works, he could still bring in elite talent at this point. And 12-6, 3-2 is not what UK is about, and he is responsible for that. BUT....and its a large but...a poorly constructed roster that is also missing two key players is not a recipe for a deep run to start with, so while the record is not great, it still constitutes a good job with the players he does have. And to call for his head a couple of weeks ago is simply idiotic. Almost every great coach has had a bad season l(or two...or three...), so whatever Mark is, he doesn't deserve to be firedYes it is, but again 12-6 and 3-2 in the SEC isn’t exactly Kentucky Material record wise. That’s the issue. I hope this continues with two good halves more often.
They are gonna have to play 60 minutes that game Brother. Rams are too well coached and too talented to spot that kind of leadIf the Bears win tomorrow night, I'm going to have to start believing I just haven't woken up from a coma and this is all just a dream.
Right after the Denver game!Do you know what time my Raiders play?![]()
I bet Pope has learned a lot more than we’d ever know about what did and didn’t work from the roster construction. He’s done a great job of getting buy-in even after moments this season could have unraveled everything entirely. I still like Pope as a person. I'm neutral on is performance at the moment.I’d say most people who like Pope can acknowledge he isn’t without blemishes. I only spoke for me btw. Rams are the abdolute last team I wanted the Bears to play. That's not a good matchup at all. They are gonna have to play 60 minutes that game Brother. Rams are too well coached and too talented to spot that kind of lead
I was thinking about that today. I moved to Chicagoland where my fiance was born and raised so I cheer for the bears with her. Heart issues would've taken me out already.I'm glad I don't have heart issues, I'm also a Chicago Bears fan and they have done the same thing all year.
Yeah I think the weather and Rams injuries. Ake it a toss up. But they are a loadRams are the sbdolute last team I wanted the Bears to play. That's not a good matchup at all.
However, the weather might inhibit the Rams' high octane passing attack. It’s gonna be cold and windy.
Exactly right. And reason I am not alarmed about missing the HS recruits is Pope has shown he can compete in the portal. We should have 6-7 kids coming back from this squad who played significant minutes. What we need is a couple of difference makers next season, and honest, proven college kids may be a better fit. Pope just needs to land a superstar instead of several more role players, and I think he knows thatI bet Pope has learned a lot more than we’d ever know about what did and didn’t work from the roster construction. I still think we gotta see more of this team before we know how to build the next. A lot of guys are just starting to show who they are. Excited either way! GBB!Exactly right. No reason to say those who don’t think pope is the guy for the job are bumbling fools eitherI’d say most people who like Pope can acknowledge he isn’t without blemishes. I only spoke for me btw. You never have and never will hear me say that, actually. It’s very difficult supporting Pope on here — you will find most of the people who like Pope get mercilessly lambasted. It doesn’t go the other way. At least not from 99% of us — there may be one or two aggressive Pope supporters. Most are just cerebral nice people who want to get along. If anything, I’ve been made fun of and humiliated for trying to get along with the anti-Popers. Call me “Full House”, “Dr. Phil” and all that stuff. Already had a couple of posters I like a lot have left because of how they get treated for being vocal about Pope. It shouldn’t be like that — whether you like Pope or don’t, we are fans of the same team. Why does it hurt anyone’s feelings if I believe in Pope?No reason to say those who don’t think pope is the guy for the job are bumbling fools either
So what is the first half issue? Game planning, coaching, or pfm? I am not disputing I’m happy with the outcome and energy and some good adjustments but damn we get embarrassed every first half. So what is the breakdown.Surely not! Not the guy all the experts on here claim can’t coach! LMAO that’s the most absurd take I’ve ever heard! That he can’t coach, that is. Clearly, he can.
Yeah they were only down 17 in the first half not the usual 20+.Pope starting to adjust and Jasper starting to get comfortable. This team is catching fire![]()

There's a UK bar in Lincoln Park area called Pony Inn, watched the Illinois game there last year.I'm also a Bears fan. I live about a half-hour southwest of Chicago.
Hopefully the weekend unfolds like it did last weekend, with the Kentucky comeback followed by a Bear's victory!
It's who he played and when. Everyone kept yelling in the game thread for Pope to pull Mo and put Jelly in. Well, Mo led the team in +/-.Could someone explain what coaching moves Pope made in the second half that was different from the first half?
No one is gonna answer this. I would be interested to hear myself.Could someone explain what coaching moves Pope made in the second half that was different from the first half?
I'm pulling for your Bears to win it all man, Ben Johnson is a helluva play caller & he's turned Caleb Williams around.I'm glad I don't have heart issues, I'm also a Chicago Bears fan and they have done the same thing all year.
Ben has done an incredible job. What a turnaround and it’s so nice to finally see the Bears with a good offense. I feel like they haven't had a good offense since '85.I'm pulling for your Bears to win it all man, Ben Johnson is a helluva play caller & he's turned Caleb Williams around.
Moreno was getting bullied & Garrison held up better defensively, kept their bigs in check down low. Mo came up big today. It's who he played and when. Everyone kept yelling in the game thread for Pope to pull Mo and put Jelly in. Well, Mo led the team in +/-.
They also kept saying to pull Oweh, well, he made some key plays at the end.
He also played BG and Mo D a ton together. Nobody wants that, but it worked, it stopped Tennessee from fully owning the paint.
The ones that won the game.Could someone explain what coaching moves Pope made in the second half that was different from the first half?
I agree with that. But JJ, CC, JL, KW and one or two others form a decent nucleus. Pretty clear what we need. I didn't include MM because he may test the waters, but he would be a great get for year twoI still think we gotta see more of this team before we know how to build the next. A lot of guys are just starting to show who they are. Excited either way! GBB!
He’s not an NBA player yet. I wouldn’t worry too much there. Love the idea of seeing guys earn roles for next year for sureI agree with that. But JJ, CC, JL, KW and one or two others form a decent nucleus. Pretty clear what we need. I didn't include MM because he may test the waters, but he would be a great get for year two
Is it worth a smile emoji to know that he still doesn't have any recruits coming? Or that he has a career 64% winning percentage? Or that he's only won two tournament games in his entire career? Or that he has eight seasons out of 10 where he's lost at least 10 games, soon to be 9 out of the last 11?
He coached a great second half. Maybe he can put together to halves? Coming from behind is not a good strategy. We do it far too often.
Such a sad personIs it worth a smile emoji to know that he still doesn't have any recruits coming? Or that he has a career 64% winning percentage? I don't know why in the hell you're gloating. We're all happy about the victory today and Pope coached his *** off, but there is still zero evidence that he's the man for the job at Kentucky.
Let me know when he picks up his first top 10 recruit. I'll allow you to gloat then.
Well I do and they aren’t helping at ALLI'm glad I don't have heart issues, I'm also a Chicago Bears fan and they have done the same thing all year.
I wasn't going to play nasty in the sandbox until that pal of yours called me out. You're too ignorant to see what he did there, but then again you guys are the dynamic duo of bad coaching enablement.Such a sad person
Man, I don't even mind your criticism of Pope because a lot of it is certainly warranted. But you make negative post after negative post even when the team wins, and its not just this game, its every game, and for folks who are still pulling for the coach, that crap gets old fast. And I thought you were smarter than making an argument that people that are positive after a win somehow aren't fans in your narrative, but I guess I am wrong there tooI wasn't going to play nasty in the sandbox until that pal of yours called me out. You're too ignorant to see what he did there, but then again you guys are the dynamic duo of bad coaching enablement.
I actually think at least one of you is not even a Kentucky fan. No one would tolerate bad coaching like you guys do unless they were either not fans or if they were fans, had no expectations. I think you fit in the latter category and your homie fits in the former.
