Right. Part of the problem with this team is inconsistent play among the players. Pope has no idea who is going to show out each game, so he has to move players around until he finds combinations that work.
Our previous coach would wait unti he "watched the tape" the next day. I'm giving Pope the credit he definitely deserves here, he is adjusting in the game and it's working.
Need to get some star players next year though, when you have a team full of 6th men, you get what we have this year.
Replacing jelly with Mo for one added an importtnt physicallity to the team.
Everything you said I 100% agree with & might I add that our previous coach would only watch the tape after walking his dog & watching little house on the prairie lol. We definitely have a need for some star players to go along with both returning & portal players.
He coached a really good 2nd half. We have something’s that need to be cleaned up: offensive rebounds, we have to crash the boards better, get our hands up on the defensive end and keep on swinging the ball instead of dribbling the air out of it. These things are correctable!
I actually can't answer it but it doesn't seem right for someone to blame him for the first half if they won't give him credit for the second half.

The biggest adjustment he made today was spacing the floor really well. That just makes everything better if th guys move an move the ball which they did today.
Even when we were down in the fist half I said I love our spacing an the guys are playing hard, couldn’t understand why we weren’t closer.

If it wasn’t fun for you idk what to say. I’ve had a blast. When you think about LSU in 1994 do you get immediately angry that we’re down by 31? When you think about Jodie Meeks scoring 54 at Tennessee do you immediately get angry that we didn’t win the conference championship? Gotta enjoy the moments as they happen or there’s not much point. We only win a title 9% of the time and that’s almost more than anyone, so enjoy the rest.
Dude, it was a joke. Relax. I just watched the ‘94 LSU game today. Pitino would have been King if he’d stayed. And yes, I’ve already been reminded to enjoy the moments in true reality when my Dad just passed away January 2, coming out of restaurant, which I had to perform CPR until squad arrived, but couldn’t save him. Pope definitely deserves a lot of credit for the 2nd half adjustments made. Players too for their fight to come back in the 2nd half.
Appreciate it man. Just trying to find my new normal. I also joked to someone else earlier in game that he had a stroke and that I might have to join him if things didn’t start looking better. The games have helped with these last minute miracles. Might be Pops looking down…RIP Dad.
I can’t pretend to know what you’re going through right now because everyone’s relationship with their parents is unique to them. I know how it felt losing my parents and it’s extremely difficult going through that. I hope you have people in your life that are helping you through it. I’ve never met you but I promise you people love you and want the best for you.
