Jack asked Pope about Roster. Pope stammered around roster movement and I cannot talk about that. I am wondering if they already have a new guy or is he talking about current guys? Hard to tell.

When Pope says 'movement to the roster' does he mean lose one and add one or just add one or two?
The only guys we could lose would be Oweh and Lowe, but I've not seen or heard anything to suggest that they'll leave.
I have to assume we'll gain someone or two if the roster limit does indeed go to 15.
My favorite thing from that interview is Pope's opinion of Lowe. Lowe took godawful shots last year and stands to make a huge leap with year with a decent supporting cast.
I have such a man crush on that guy. He's such a beautiful, smart, positive person. And he's perfect for this job. I am so happy about the state of the program right now.
I took his comment in the context of possibly adding another player. But that it's not yet certain so he can't talk about it.
When will Nike realize that the newer versions of the logo are never going to resonate with the fan base in the way the wildcat with the UK did. I feel like the current version is generic and soulless. I think they would sell a lot more new gear if they went back to something similar to the old version. Someone please tell me why I'm wrong...
You’re 100% right. It’s been around for about 10 years now and it’s just not it. I’ve never bought anything with that goofy logo and never will. Bring back the power K and bring back the classic wildcats. We’re too historic of a program to have that third rate logo.
100%, old style K or Penis Tongue Wildcat for the win all day long. The new one feels like a cheap K State AI knockoff.

Yes, as usual, the NCAA is dragging their feet and holding up teams to finish their roster.
So are we talking another international guy that will only get a partial year at UK or worse, will not be allowed to play at UK?
I have said all along we will have Oweh back. Not worried about him.
The one thing that I have always worried about is that under Hall (UK could not get International players), under Sutton same, under Pitino, under cal and now if Pope has the same issues then as far as a UK coach, he need not ever waste time looking the world over for talent outside the us. Does not matter that every single other team in the NCAA seems to have no issues with international players.
Maybe all teams have the same issue but have people on staff that are available as soon as the coach says I want BOBO MO URWAY from WhoCaresistan and that staff has the magic RED TAPE SCISSORS and gets it done. Not sure. UK will be good either way but I think that Jelavic could be a great piece to this team and make a huge impact.
Dave, the only thing I read I might be a little bit of a holdup to him getting here in June is the success of the team is on right now if they keep winning, he keeps playing
You talkin about the two birds humping logo? That's really mainly a secondary logo, but still sucks for the most part. The interlocking UK which is starkly similar to Houston's Interlocking UH is blah too. Bring back the Power K.
It would be nice if when they form that LLC setup with the Athletic Department, they go to Nike and try to negotiate a priority type deal with them for some potential NIL/Shoe Apparel deals for the athletes or threaten to look elsewhere for somebody who will. And get the Logo changed in the process.
