I can't imagine any reason why Pope won't do good here. The man is a Rhodes Scholar candidate--went to medical school--played on a national championship team--was schooled by Pitino--and now he has the Kentucky program backing him.
He's very bright. He was trained by the best. He played with the best. He's got the smarts and the enthusiasm to be special. He just needs to get a group of players that are willing to do what it takes.

i think year two when players see his offense, we will start getting some elite players.
Agreed, Pope and BBN knew that he a major task in front of him. But it is damn well worth it, getting rid of a guy who was destroying this program.
