What proof do you have, so you are saying a player like Murray States, Morant would have been a player to pass on.

Good job finding those kids and building them up
See what you do not realize is that Mark Pope could not do anything with these guys. Only real coaches like Golden and Pearl could be players from small schools and win with them.

You give Pope the following: Flagg, Clayton, Cryer, Smith, Kalkbrenner, Taylor IV and heck fill in the blank with the best players from this year.

Pope would lose with them way more than he would win with them. Remember UK = the worst, Pope = antichrist of College basketball and so forth.

Cade Tyson was supposed to be a top transfer last season, signed with UNC. Older brother has been on NBA rosters the last couple seasons. Played at Belmont, which is a good program. Tyson seemed like a sure thing to be an impact transfer. He was a bust for UNC this season, barely played. The portal is a major risk!! Without the glut of graduate/5th transfers, this class has as many (if not more) players in the portal and the overall quality is just lesser this year compared to the last couple.

Where you win the portal now is by identifying younger players that you project to be great college players, who will be fringe NBA players as upperclassmen. Pope & Staff tout their analytics tools as being next level, so I’m hoping there’s something they see with Lowe particularly that made them lock in on him and sign him. Hopefully he’s a great defender!!
