Just a really dumb post. So, what's the plan? Piss and moan day and night? Rhule is the coach for at least another year or two. If you don't like it pony up the 50 million to buy him out. Then pay for a new coach.

Only one crying is you, it's pathetic. Not at all. But the crying from fans does. Bunch of HS girls on here.
You mean like Rhule and our AD and GM who are draining the coffers about as fast as they can? At least no fan on here is costing the program millions unlike those 3 bozos.Who don't contribute any money to the university, but want to spend it like they do.
Another dumb post.and 15 years of futility under 3 different coaches. You would think that people who ***** and moan about Rhule and the productivity of the team would not be expecting more than what is visiting, but nope, just more bitching and moaning. Questioning why isn't Nebraska getting top players.
But Rhule said that we can now get anyone we want. What would the transfer portal look like for a team that just finished 7-6 with an easy schedule, was blown out in its most recent 3 games, whose coach has no idea what they are doing, has no accountability. and who just overhauled the entire defensive staff? A bunch of unwanted from Iowa state, and starters from Memphis and San Diego State.
You're the boards expert on that.Only one crying is you, it's pathetic.
They have a job to do. If they fail they get fired. You mean like Rhule and our AD and GM who are draining the coffers about as fast as they can? At least no fan on here is costing the program millions like those 3 bozos.
nope, just realisticAnother dumb post.
I totally respect you as a poster so I'm curious, what do you think the future of Nebraska football is?and 15 years of futility under 3 different coaches. You would think that people who ***** and moan about Rhule and the productivity of the team would not be expecting more than what is visiting, but nope, just more bitching and moaning. Please provide the exact quote where he said "now we can get anyone we want"But Rhule said that we can now get anyone we want.
I don't know, I am not sure Nebraska will ever be a consistent playoff team. I don't think the peak is 9 wins every year. There could be a year where they reach 10 or 11, but not year after year.I totally respect you as a poster so I'm curious, what do you think the future of Nebraska football is?
Under Rhule, can Nebraska be a consistent playoff team year in & year out, especially when it gets to 16 teams, or will we just be a program that peaks at 9 wins per season?
Sometimes I wonder how some on here deal with real life? Just whine 24-7. Or do what Rhule and his staff are doing. Get back to work to try and improve the program. If it doesn't work out they get fired. Im not happy with where we are either but like you said. It's reality. Like I said. It's been this way for 25 years. Maybe one day we will get it right. Until then. Im still a Nebraska fan for life.nope, just realistic
Makes sense.I don't know, I am not sure Nebraska will ever be a consistent playoff team. I don't think the peak is 9 wins every year. There could be a year where they reach 10 or 11, but not year after year.
I just don't believe the people of Nebraska are cut throat enough to compete at the highest level. They want to give chances, they root for the underdog. The whole fan base isn't what is presented on this board. People on here have a more rabid approach than most of the 85,000 that fill the stadium. They don't want to see little Johnny Tryhard booted from the team after 1 year. They are not fiscally inclined to just spend countless millions year after year. Many of the old guard boosters that paid for everything in the past are dying off. The new age rich guys in the state have never seen Nebraska as a consistent winner, so why spend millions every year. The school is having difficulty funding the stadium renovations and are reducing seating because of 20 years of lackluster results. The one thing keeping everything above water is the relationship with the Big Ten and the millions the school gets off the backs of Ohio St, Michigan and the like. Again Nebraska doesn't have the billionaire oil guy like Texas Tech, or the billionaire tech guy in Cuban that Indiana does.
Perhaps I am wrong, but 7-10 wins each year is to be expected, especially when you have such a shift in schedule strength year to year.

Unlike the previous coaches’ tenures, there’s this thing called NIL. Everyone’s doing it, and reportedly, per Rhule, we now have enough to get the players we want. So, why would people not expect better players / results? If we’ve got the money, then there is no reason that we shouldn’t be bringing in some of the bigger names out there. Are we not working our *** off to get them in? Maybe they will bring in some studs, eventually, it’s still early. People should expect it, and demand it, and if it doesn’t happen, they should be pissed.and 15 years of futility under 3 different coaches. We could just go full on Venezuela on em.There still needs to be some sort of reciprocal interest. I have a good amount of money. I will now go after and ask out any chick I want and they will say yes. Period. Is that how you really think this works?
The problem obviously is that top players want to go somewhere that will increase their draft status or chances of contending for championships. That takes other top talent around you. We’re clearly not that place yet no matter how much money we offer.Unlike the previous coaches’ tenures, there’s this thing called NIL. Ummm, yeah, essentially. Most of these players aren’t anything more than call girls. Money talks. They aren’t looking to get married, they just want to make some bank while they are young and attractive. Even if they aren’t high on a location, go there for a year, max your payday, and move on to the next desperate sugar daddy for more money. When there are other johns that want your prostitute, pay their pimp to talk you up. We’ve got the money, if someone isn’t interested in at least coming out to take a look at the goods, then that is, I’d say, 80% of the time on the coaches. They need to sell the program, unfortunately, when you’ve had 3 years of muck, it just gets a little harder. Another thing is, he’s got the money, but does he know how he should spend it?There still needs to be some sort of reciprocal interest. I have a good amount of money. Sometimes, and no, you are wrong about “no matter how much money we offer.” It’s on Rhule and the staff to sell it, and pay a premium for the right guys. The problem obviously is that top players want to go somewhere that will increase their draft status or chances of contending for championships. Wrong, I've already worked on projects way more complicated than the inner workings of an AD. Running an AD would be so easy for me I could do it in my sleep. I've kept up with NIL market values better than some numbskulls on this board who think Dylan Raiola was only at $1 million annually. They have a job to do. If they fail they get fired.
But a random uninformed dude on a message board with fictional money, no accountability, no potential consequences, no real clue on the inter-workings of an athletic department in addition to having no clue on who is being offered, how much they are offered, or if there is even interest from the player to come to Nebraska is much better equipped to make decisions.
I bet you tell your coworkers at Starbucks this daily.Wrong, I've already worked on projects way more complicated than the inner workings of an AD. I would have never extended Rhule, I can tell you that much. I would hire Dan Mullen because he's the best offensive mind in college football and then give him the budget to get the very best DC out there. That's how you run an AD, extremely easy if you're not a mental midget, which is apparently what you're an expert at with your profession.
Wrong again, I run into far more Mike Riley Mr. Nice Guy fans on this board than I see in real life. Real fans are tired of the crap product and being force fed propaganda that Year 3 will be the turnaround. Real fans are beyond tired of the complete fiscal irresponsibility of extending loser head coaches and being on the hook for $80 million in buyouts.I don't know, I am not sure Nebraska will ever be a consistent playoff team. I don't think the peak is 9 wins every year. There could be a year where they reach 10 or 11, but not year after year.

I'm not that interested because it would be the easiest thing in the world for me to do. I actually prefer a challenge in what I choose to do with my time.So you have never run an Athletic Department.
Do people forget what recruiting is? Or does it not fit their narrative that we suck and should be ok with itSometimes, and no, you are wrong about “no matter how much money we offer.” It’s on Rhule and the staff to sell it, and pay a premium for the right guys.
15 years takes us back to 2010. We played in CCGs in 2010 and 2012, with at least nine wins through 2014, and nine against in 2016. Well said, as a fan, you could at least take pride in each of those 9 and 10 win teams. I did have some pride in this season's team until the Minnesota, PSU, Iowa, and Utah blowouts.15 years takes us back to 2010. As for the rest of it, the season didn’t work out so hot and I’m now watching basketball. The people who do nothing but whine are people who have no respect for the work of the players on the team they claim to support.
So what do you do?I'm not that interested because it would be the easiest thing in the world for me to do. I actually prefer a challenge in what I choose to do with my time.
10 wins? LOL, we had the easiest strength of schedule in the B10 and we were lucky to get 7 wins this year.I don't know, I am not sure Nebraska will ever be a consistent playoff team. Do you even know the difference between the European concept of liberalism and the American concept?A libtard. Color me shocked.
Stay in your lane Mr White dude for Harris.Do you even know the difference between the European concept of liberalism and the American concept?
