Ironic considering they played the lower seed in 2nd rd and doing it again in the sweet 16."**** this. Easiest path to a final four in history and of course it's served to Iowa on a silver platter:
A couple of posters did make this correction, but were followed up by others with posts of how weak the #1 seed Florida was. I did not realize the hatred.Yes, beating a 1 seed in the round of 32 is easy peasy.
And here I am wishing for an Iowa-ISU national championship game!A couple of posters did make this correction, but were followed up by others with posts of how weak the #1 seed Florida was. I did not realize the hatred.
Sometimes I think their fanbase is happier when Iowa loses than when Iowa State wins. They constantly are worried about Iowa.A couple of posters did make this correction, but were followed up by others with posts of how weak the #1 seed Florida was. I did not realize the hatred.
Their jealousy never rests. Even if they're having a good year. Typical little brother syndrome."**** this. Easiest path to a final four in history and of course it's served to Iowa on a silver platter:
Are you new here?A couple of posters did make this correction, but were followed up by others with posts of how weak the #1 seed Florida was. I did not realize the hatred.
And basically on the 1 seeds home courtYes, beating a 1 seed in the round of 32 is easy peasy.
Piss…on…that. I want their asses to lose tonight so we can rub it in their dam face about making it further than them! “Cyclone State” they claimed after beating all our major teams…well so far none of their other teams have finished their seasons better than ours. So here’s to hoping another of theirs ending short of ours! And here I am wishing for an Iowa-ISU national championship game!
There is a lot of hatred, but also a disturbingly low amount of brain cells. Imagine growing up a Clone fan.. oof.A couple of posters did make this correction, but were followed up by others with posts of how weak the #1 seed Florida was. I did not realize the hatred.
That's the thing, I actually believe that Iowa got the seed they earned from the regular season and don't really have any issues with where they ended up. It's about what I expected tbh. I also thought they were a much better team than a 9 seed, they just couldn't get it together during the regular season. With a few notable exceptions, they were really close to beating the best teams in the Big 10, they just didn't know how to finish a game. Fortunately, it looks like losing those games 4-6 times was able to teach them some things because when they went up against Florida they didn't fold in the last 3 minutes of the game. While this is certainly a Cinderella story and I'm sure the media will play it up, to me it doesn't feel as much like one compared, to Loyola's run a few years ago (for example). Plus, being in the Big 10 means Iowa just has more resources than a lot of other Cinderella type teams have so they don't really fit the profile as well.I guess you could make it a math problem.
add up the seed numbers of the people you beat. The higher the number, the easiest path.
Iowa beat a 1 so their number likely would not be historically high. The only thing they avoided was a 2 seed really.
The easiest path would be teams that didn’t have to play a two or a one seed.
“Perceived” quality of opponents won’t hold up when comparing years so you need to stick to the math. I don’t recall anybody saying the seeding by the committee was historically bad when the field was announced.
Yep, I was there. We hit 14 of 26 FTs and I don't remember how many were 1/1s. Marble went 5/12 and was at the line with 12 seconds left...Another trip down memory lane. When Raveling coached Iowa (1986), we played NC State in Minneapolis. Iowa State played another team right before us. The arena was filled with Cyclones and Hawkeye fans. During the first game, we cheered for the Cyclones. During our game, the Cyclones cheered for NC State. We lost the game St by 2 points.
Some Cyclone fans are so pitiful.

I was too, kinda .... but now I want a quality opponent after all this 'easy path' stuff! And here I am wishing for an Iowa-ISU national championship game!
To be fair to the Clone fans, I have never and will never cheer for Iowa State and I wouldn't expect them to cheer for Iowa.Another trip down memory lane. I am the same way, but to say stupid shid like Iowa has the easiest path to a Final4 in history is just such crybaby BS.To be fair to the Clone fans, I have never and will never cheer for Iowa State and I wouldn't expect them to cheer for Iowa.
There is only one cesspool and it is ours. Don’t lump us together with those jackwagonsCyclone Fanatic? That place is a cess pool.
I fully agree on that part.to say stupid shid like Iowa has the easiest path to a Final4 in history is just such crybaby BS.
I've never posted on the Clone or Nebby boards, but I do like going over there from time to time to see the discussions (and witness the meltdowns) and it's so stupid seeing some of the Hawkeye fans over their trolling and acting the same as the Husker and Clone trolls that come here.I’ve never been to any cyclone message board and never will. Some of you are every bit as bad as them with your obsession.
