If its not coaching then I dont know what it is. Stoops will be the coach and Mitch will be the AD for years to come. Heard ticket office was going to offer $5 ticket specials for the next home game. I was given 20 and told to give them out to friends.

Where can I get in on that $5 action?

Second worst hire of all time.
Seriously? You people are ridiculous. Can you honestly not see the talent upgrade? The wins we have had over teams we hadn't come close to beating during Jokers tenure? Having UF beat only to lose because of nutless officials? Mark Stoops has proven to be a tireless worker and recruiter who has given us the most talent we have had since 2007. He is a young coach and can get it done here I think IF he gets rid of his BFF Elliot and learns from his mistakes.

You call us ridiculous and blind and then proceed to opine that he can win if he learns from his mistakes immediately after watching a loss in year 4 that mimicked EXACTLY what we saw happen in years 1, 2, and 3. Yeah...we're the blind ones. Wake the hell up man.

Stoops runs the defense. Rumor has it Shannon Dawson wasn't allowed to run what he wanted to in his time here and I believe that. He torched stoops last night and his buddy Elliot. Doesn't matter how much the talent has improved if you can't coach them up. He can't get it done here, no matter how hard he works or recruits. He doesn't have what it takes to be a head coach. He's made that obvious.

It is time for Eliot to go, and some of our kids to finish growing up. Mostly, that game struck me as a fine illustration of a talented young team that still does not know how to handle a little success.

After the game, went straight to bed. Was in no mood for call in shows or cats paws. But it's a new, beautiful day. Sun's still shining brightly.

That was a very deflating loss. Where do we go now? I like Stoops, but at some point you have to put together a complete game. I agree with others that Eliott has to go.

If Stoops isn't going to redshirt Young, put his big *** on defense. I know...you can't do that. BS It's football, if you can block or knock someone down you can play. Play your best players.

Buy the lad out and pay him off in pennies. If it takes 10 semis - fine.

The Stoops era experience should forever prove that blindly throwing money at a problem does not guarantee it will be solved. The question now is how to extricate yourself from this morass while maintaining some civility and dignity. Don't forget, Mitch's bud Eli gave him a hefty raise and job security thru 2022.

It seems pretty evident that he's disgusted by the way things turned in the second half. There's no questioning his will to win, I think he genuinely wants to prove he's as good a coach as his brother and it's at least in part what led to him taking this job. Unfortunately he had a blueprint that just isn't translating to the win column.
If you see or have problems with the blueprint change them or they are just going to be a problem

Stoops should have fired Eliot last year and made a huge run at Bud Foster before the new coach at VA Tech was able to lock him up. We need an experienced coordinator that is used to playing against great talent. As much as I hate to say it, Schlarman needs to go too. We have way too many 3 and outs against smaller o lines..Our guys still look slow and I just don't think they are that talented. Landon Young needs to play if he is as good as advertised. We have wasted another game that we should have won. We have even smaller margin for error now.

By the way, why would you schedule a team like this who has a chance of beating you , when you play the schedule we do? Central Alabama or Prairie View should have been the opening game. Need to win and get these kids some confidence as the schedule gets tougher. That is what UL did and still does..A lot of the big name schools play a bunch of patsies..What was Mitch thinking here?

Once UAB shut the program down UK had to find another opponent. Wasn't many options. You can thank UAB for this loss.

Just didn't seem disappointed one bit. Was in a great mood and almost rubbing it in caller's faces. His "I'm better than you" attitude is only getting worse.
I think Matt was showing off for a certain female last night. I'm an admitted fan, but he was intolerable in the post-game show.

He torched stoops lol? They ran...and ran...and ran some more. It isn't like they were slinging the ball all over the field.

Stoops sounds so deflated, he seems done at this point. He is trying his best to stay positive, but he just sounds like he's worn out.

His only saving grace, if you can call it that, is to fire the Schlarman and the defensive coaches. But I don't know that that will even work.
everyone except the DC has already been scapegoated ...now the question is will Stoops feed on his own guy or take the responsibility on himself....I'm betting that he feeds.

Dawson's offense had 520 yards last night. they done what they wanted with the run game and pass game the second half. I stand by what I said. Stats and outcome prove my point.

To be honest with you Stoops spends 98% of every practice with the defense. He is just as complicit.

Rumors make interesting stories. They all have their purposes.

It the talent has improved, someone has coached them up. 4 years is not enough time to say he doesn't have what it takes to be a head coach. UK played a good first half on both ends of the field last night. That is not good enough, however it was an improvement over the last few years. S. Miss was a quality opponent in my opinion.

The program is in its best shape since Brooks, you have too give Stoops credit.

Talent level has improved by recruiting and I do give him credit for that. It's just my opinion that he doesn't have what it takes. Big difference between a coordinator and a head coach. Several coaching blunders have taken place to make me think the way that I do. Our defense stunk up the field the second half. He's the defensive minded coach. Their is no excuse for that. I respectfully disagree with you about giving him more time. I hope that I'm wrong and it works out though.

Yes, when all he can do is blame the loss on Blake McClain dropping that interception at the beginning of the 3rd quarter it's clear he's grasping. I believe he is genuinely a good guy but this loss is terrible.
Blame McClain?, how about all those runs around the ends and up the middle the whole game. An SEC team getting whipped on both sides of the ball by a conference USA team. Whose fault is that?
