Why is Loyola at Huntley? Weren't the higher seeds away week 2?
The rule is that after the first round, the team which has hosted the least gets to host. If both have hosted the same number of times, then the higher seed gets to host.

IC playing their 3rd home game in a row.

Anything you need done with the IHSA, go through IC, they have connections.

One of the perks when the higher seeds continue to win. However, if the Knights knock off Wilmington, they will have a 3 hour road trip to Farmington or Monticello.

I'm thinking GBW can swing the Hotel cost for a quarter final game...no?
They can, for sure but the only problem with that is the liability issues and all the responsibility on the coaches. 14-17 year olds are not exactly disciplined enough to go to bed on time and not horseplay around all night. You run the risk of too many problems in my opinion and kids not being ready to play on Saturday.

Wow really, we have always taught our kids it's a business trip. Most coaches have a pretty strong rapport with their players and the disipline is generally there. I would think the GBW players and coaches would embrace a trip down the night prior and the responsibility that goes along with such a trip.

Tez711 - High school teams take players on overnight trips regularly. My son has gone on several with his school and club baseball teams and they never had any problems. If your team does not have enough discipline to stay out of trouble for ONE night then they simply, in my opinion, have no chance winning on the field. Also, not many 14 & 15 will be on the roster.

You tell the kids lights out is 10:30 pm. Be at breakfast at 8:30. As coach you should have taught your players that if they screw around they don't play. Simple.

I understand this logic but where I come from, kids don't listen. Just speaking from experience but you are correct. There should not be any concern. The coach should give his direction and the kids should follow.
