Just my two cents, think if he goes to Alabama than we get Mac Jones back. Not even sure any of these schools have a shot. Probably be a good move for UK, Barker will be Sr. when Stidham is a Jr. and you have the young kid for 18 who will be a RS Frosh.

Think some people are trying to keep this on hush hush, Bama, UK etc..

I have this nagging feeling he stays in the BIG 12.

...but given his skill set and their offense, I think he'd do great at Ole Miss.

If he came back to UK I'd nominate him for dim wit of the decade.

He should know he would have no chance to unseat Barker even if he was head and shoulders better.

Isn't that kind of like all those fans screaming that Hartline should never be our starter? What the hell do our coaches know about who should start anyway, and what do they have to lose if they make the wrong choice?

Everyone knows that Hartline had to be Brooks son.

you could be but the interview with his teammate showed me with his body language that he thinks Jones is solid with Bama.
I think he is as well but don't hate the kid because he was very much on our side until Saban got in his head. Bad timing of some de-commits on our side and him blowing up at camps that made it ripe for them to convince him he was selling himself short and missing a lifetime chance.

He didn't handle the change very well but he didn't fake his excitement for UK either. I know behind the scenes he was all about UK for a long time.

Mac Jones played all of us to the point we were his secondary choice to any top five program. This is how it goes on the road to becoming relevant in the SEC.

Back to Stidham - Personally I hope he does come, I watched him last year and IMHO he is better than anyone we have on the roster or on the way. He would be a big pickup.

Go Cats!

Barker is the starter for us today. Right now. If a QB like Stidham came in.... Hinshaw would have his work cut out for him figuring out who is best. Talent being equal, Barker's only advantage would be that he's worked under Hinshaw for a lot longer.

And again, that's if talent is equal.

Don't see any possible way Stidham comes to UK. Either Barker plays great or well, in which case why in the world would he come here with an established starter with 2 more years of eligibility. Or Barker plays poorly, which results in the hot seat for Stoops for 2017 being nuclear hot, why would he come to such an unsettled situation to finish his career.

be excited about Barker, & Hoak & Johnson on the roster already, and the 2018 commit of Williams.

I liked hartline. But the preferential treatment towles recieved from stoops got damn near sickening. He definitely should've lost the starter job long before he did. And most the players felt this way too.

It that makes you feel better . . . truth is UK was Mac's choice over all other schools who came after him up until BAMA got involved and that included some bigger schools than us and some very close to home. Being a kids second choice doesn't make the kid a UK hater, it makes him somebody that thought a whole hell of lot of UK until a dream opportunity came along. Trust me

Saying a kid committed to a school for two years and stuck with that commitment even after the coach who recruiting him left just so he could "play" them is just ignorant.

Stidham is not coming to UK. These lazy blogs continue to link him to UK solely due to his small time frame of residence in the state.

What's missed here re Stedham/UK is, yes he lived in Kentucky for a short time and I guess still has family in state, but the real connection was Neal Brown recruited him while at Texas Tech. Some felt Stedham+Ky family+Brown previously recruiting him to Texas Tech=UK. Not sure that was ever valid.
