Hi all.

I primarily lurk around here, but I could use some good thoughts and prayers. I broke both my ankles Sunday and am having surgery tomorrow. I'm feeling really positive about it, but I'm still a bit nervous.

On a lighter note, here is a Public Courtesy Warning: Beware the curbs at Waffle House #666, for danger lurks for the clumsy.

Thanks sky. My left foot slipped off the curb at Waffle House right next to a drainage structure. I tried to catch myself with the right, but because of the odd slope into the drainage structure, I rolled it too and it broke it. Just a freak accident.

Prayers for you and the next time you see yourself approaching a curb, I'm going to need you to sit down and slide off of it the next time lol. Just messing with you buddy. You going to be alright.

Thank you all for your prayers. The surgery was a complete success for this initial stage. I basically have be very careful to keep weight off them except to move from bed to wheelchair. I tried, but failed earlier to make the move because they have a nerve block on both feet. My feet were disobedient and simply wouldn't move, which I'm assured is not unusual for nerve blocks. I told my feet they were b-holes and that their behaviour was not finny.

So, I "borrowed" that joke, but I feel it's appropriate.

Thanks again. My alma mater (FSU) managed to pull out a squeaker, so I'm feeling good about tonight. Go Duke and I'll probably chat with some of you in game thread later.

On further reflection, maybe I can extract dbav's exuberabtly positive posts from the game thread and have them read to me tomorrow while I practice the transfers. I can picture it. Keep fighting fellas. Zion! Jack! R.J.! Joey! Ques, we found some non-sprained knees for you! etc.
