Fellow posters, I come to you requesting prayers for my father. In a totally unbelievable coincidence, he fell off his ladder and broke his ankle. I would appreciate any prayers and/or good wishes you can send his way. Thank you kindly.

Years ago I fell and broke ankle and leg. Got tired of using crutches. Get him a leather/vinyl office chair w rollers. Put knee and foot in chair and roll around the house. Beats using crutches.
Prayers for him indeed. We all think we can stretch a little further on ladders.... Been there

My dad said to tell everyone thanks too. The ladder actually came apart and his foot got stuck between rungs. The ankle actually was out of joint in addition to the broken fibula, so they knocked him out to get it back in joint. It was seriously gross because his knee was straight, but his foot was sideways. He had to stay a couple of hours after being put to sleep, but they did let him come home. They'll determine if surgery is necessary later. I told him to look on the bright side. We may be in physical therapy at the same time.
The out of joint part had to be painful. I dislocated my elbow once, way worse than when I broke an arm.
Will pray for your father. My aunt Eileen just passed, so please pray for her family.

Certainly. I'm happy to do it, but sorry he needs it. My dad had the same thing done about six years ago and he is still cancer free. I hope your dad has the same good outcome as mine.
