Agreed. Hope it is being exaggerated out of precaution. He was poised for an incredible season. Seems like the kind of kid you would want to date your daughter and represent you organization.

yep. I just hope he can make it back. He may never be the same QB he was when healthy.

Adam schefter is saying he's hearing it's a compound fracture. Absolutely terribly sad news for him. I've always like bridgewater a lot, even as a rival and can't believe this happened to him. Sad day. Hope he makes a full recovery.

Being they took him straight from the practice field via ambulance to the hospital sounds like more than just an ACL.

Just curious, does anyone have any real facts or are you all just guessing. ACL, compound fracture, ??????

Sorry to hear about his injury. He seems like a great young man and is a vital piece in the Vikings resurgence. Hope he recovers as soon as possible and is able to resume his career.

I don't think there's an official report yet. Local news is saying knee but then saying people saw the injury and started yelling, throwing up and running away.

It seems to be all speculation at this point but something logical another reporter heard was a dislocated knee. That can look gruesome and can tear ligaments but not be a compound fracture. Might explain why they're saying he's doing an MRI.

Im asking a question..just answer it..dont need the personal attack...thanks

It's a silly question that doesn't even need to be answered. Who cares what UL fans would do if the situation was our guy being injured over theirs? Sometimes when it comes down to injuries and their real life careers on the line, our rivalry with UL shouldn't even come up. Like someone said earlier, unless you're in grade school, i don't know why you would want to act like UL fans. Let's just hope this isn't as serious as it looks from the first reports in on the situation.

Well hopefully whatever it is, its not career ending, he seems to be a real good kid.

Given the reports of the traumatic reaction by teammates and the cancellation of practice, combined with being sedated for an mri - sounds like a badly dislocated knee. If so, a long road to recovery.

Shaun livingston came back. But took years. Hope Teddy can too.

Part of being righteous and sympathetic (especially on an anonymous message board) is not to look around and tell people that you're more thoughtful and actualized than they are...

That said, I hope it isn't as bad as the initial reports. TB seems like a model citizen and overall good guy. The game is brutal.

Really bad news and is sounds like Teddy is out for the year. The good news is he young and otherwise healthy and they can do miracles for knees these days. Hope for a full recovery.

I felt like the Vikes were a team to watch this year - playing great defense and they are starting to get some weapons on offense. Now it looks like they have to pick over the crums left on the table for a QB. I hope to goodness it isn't Kaepernic and all his baggage. Maybe Aaron Murry get's a shot.

Teddy is a great player and a classy young man from all accounts. I hate this for him and wish him a speedy recovery. Football is a tough sport.

I understand and appreciate the classy sentiments regarding Teddy...but do think if Cobb went down we would get that on the othrr side??? I highly doubt it

Your probably right, but I hope we always show more class then some of our competitors here in Loserville. After all, they showed their class with their hires in football, and keeping their coach in basketball.

I think that's maybe the difference in the fan bases. I always thought this young man carried himself very well. I'm so sorry this happened to him.

The fact that he was rushed to a trauma center suggest potential nerve and/or artery damage, which could be VERY serious, and career-threatening, or even limb-threatening.

I'm an above-elbow amputee, lost in a traumatic accident at age 28. I became a successful para-athlete (golf), and I competed against two leg amputees who lost their legs playing basketball after having what sounds like a similar injury that Teddy suffered. These guys had severe artery damage that blocked blood flow to the lower portion of their leg. This is why you would rush someone to the trauma unit, in the case of this or if this were even a possibility.

The latest news on Teddy is "torn ACL and further structural damage." Let's hope like hell he can play again. As a UL fan, I can tell you he is without a doubt one of the most beloved UL athletes in my lifetime. He was everything you could ever hope for in a student-athlete. A great player, a fabulous leader, and an even better person.
