Looks like a pretty decent attempt this far away from the season.

Not sure I buy the Michigan hype (Elliot Cadeau will still be their PG after all).

Kentucky on that 1 seed/2 seed line is right.

Duke as a 1 seed is a pipe dream at this point.

I'd probably swap Arkansas (currently a 5 seed) with Auburn (currently a 4 seed) but it's close.

All I want is Kentucky down in Tampa!!

I think this is way to early for something like this but here ya go.
Another overrated Big10 team ranked pre season #1..... Every year we hear how great the Big10 is & when the NCAA tournament rolls around that entire conference falls flat on their face. A conference that's won a grand total of 1 national championship in the last 35 years. We still have to hear about how great they are.

Wow 2 seed I think we work ourselves into a 1 seed but again this is an early prediction. I also don't see the conference as strong as last year so I don't see us getting in 13 teams again this year.
I don’t see the SEC being anywhere as strong as last season. To many top teams having to rebuild. Florida loses those three guards, they will be about impossible to replace. Auburn and Bama pretty much starting from scratch. Tennessee lost its core.

I totally agree that's the reason when I saw 13 teams making it again I pretty much feel that's a stretch.

St John’s is shaping up to be the most overrated team in the NCAA. I realize most are now back on the Pitino is Great side of things, but I’m saying they will be grossly over estimated.
They certainly were last year. Didn’t play a team in the KenPom top 25 and looked a whole lot better than they were.

Most every one of these way too early rankings have us as the best or second best team in the SEC. I hope that holds true.

They need a legit PG. That’s the main thing they are missing. Jackson can play the Point, but they are better off with a pure Point and playing Jackson off the ball.

We aren't adding any more major players unless Oweh were to leave.
Some people won’t be happy until we have the 15 best players in the country on our roster.

Even then, they would still say we don’t have enough shooters! Or we won’t rebound well enough! Or there’s no rim protector!

There’s always going to be something to nitpick.

Welcome to BBN!

That is just common sense. But if you want to seem dumb just think a top guard is going to come here with 12 players solidified.
It’s dumb to think a coach who designed a team to make a perimeter shooting specialist as comfortable and effective as a perimeter shooting specialist has ever been might want to bring in one perimeter shooting specialist.

They just landed a commitment from point guard Dylan Darling, a transfer from Idaho State:

20ppg
6apg
3rpg

44% from field
81% from the line
36% from three

Two years of eligibility remaining.

They lack frontcourt depth, but their top 7 is going to be really, really good.

That will definitely help them.

Hope he can avoid playing Cal in the tourney, though.

Cal is Pitino’s kryptonite.

I like next year's St. John's team better than last year because I think they will have way more balance from a scoring perspective and a huge upgrade in shooting.

G - Darling - Sanon
G - Jackson - Sanon - Liotopoulos
G - Sellers - Suljanovic - Ibine Ayo
F - Hopkins - Mitchell
C - Ejiofor - Prey - Tamba

If they develop an 8th man, they'll be really good next year.

Still, there's no way I'd objectively take them over an Oweh-led UK team.

Agreed.

They should give UConn a run for their money in the Big East. I hope Pitino owns Hurley this coming season.

We have 12, twelve, guys that are currently expecting minutes. We are not bringing in any more contributors, think whatever you want but that is a fact.

This team might not have a "Koby Brea" but we have 10+ dudes who can knock it down from deep. No one will be slagged off of like Williams last year. The court will be spread wide open.

There are no perfect rosters, but we didn't land a bonafide shooter/scorer that I feel like we needed. We'll see how it plays out.

Speaking of dumb you sound a little dumb telling me to think whatever I want now when all I ever did is say what I thought would happen IF we got another shooter.

BTW I seriously doubt your ability to predict the future is really better than your ability to think straight or your ability to be okay with other people making general impersonal comments about their speculations on the possible future that happen to be different than your pet ones.

We are currently 11th in Barttorvik's projection for next season.

Big swing in defensive efficiency. We are projected to be in the top 10.
