The race caller, Larry Collmus, did a fine job capturing the excitement of the stretch run by Journalism.

Fantastic finish by the winner. I didn't think he could have a chance after the collective collisions.

Looked like a RB breaking tackles to get through to make a run, very tough race and can't believe Journalism made it

Looked like he bumped the 1 horse knocking it off stride, I thought that might have been interference there?

When I watched them race in real time I thought the same thing. It looked to me at first like Journalism was trying to force his way through a hole that wasn't there.

After watching the replays and overhead view it's pretty clear that Journalism held his line while the #1 came in on him. The Jockey of the 1, Flavian Pratt knew what he was doing and he definitely knew which horse was next to him. He tried to squeeze Journalism out of his spot but really created a pretty dangerous situation.

Impressive performance by Journalism for sure.. I think his Jockey should have steered him to the outside if he knew he had that much horse left in him. But it was much more exciting they way they did it.

While the court of public opinion doesn't seem to agree, here is the opinion of a retired Steward.
