I have to think at least one thing. Maybe SF applied in Naz situation. Maybe just FE applied to Catholic schools. Maybe multiplier has accelerator added for every title. I will say they had FE just to Catholic schools. This would unsure Naz, JC in 6A. Must open up 5A for Southern schools to win.

Laurence I am pretty sure is 6A next year. They will now be subject to the multiplier. U can only go up 1 class per season or maybe they would be 7A. Def 6A next year for Viking.

Good luck with that. Look what a "Northern" public, LWW, did when they went South in 5A this year. They won every game by at least 3 TD's.

yes but LWW definitely not 5A next year with LW consolidation. so 5A should be void of Naz, Laurence, LWW, obviously Montini, SHG stays 6A as well.

Leaving it wide open for JCA.

If ever there were a year for JC to struggle, next year could be it. That said, if they can qualify for the playoffs and LWW, Naz, Laurence, Montini, SHG, etc. are all up to 6A and above, I suppose they could make a run in a very down 5A.

That sophomore running back, K. Johnson, had the best varsity sophomore season I have seen from a JC running back in the last 20 years. I think the offense will be fine. Not sure how their defense will stop top end offenses, though. Getting to 5 wins will be tough. Still hoping they schedule a weak sister for week one. I would prefer bumping Wheaton North off week 2 as well, but I believe that is set.

Ty wearing #4 his soph campaign was pretty special.

That was 2010. He missed over half the season. When he did play, it was electric. But he gained under 600 yards because he only played a handful of games.

Best soph campaigns I can think of......

99 Zwierzynski
03 McKeon
06 Hudetz
09 Jones
15 Johnson

And Johnson's was the best and it really isn't close.

nice little history recap there!
Randle should have been up as a soph. I played with him. He was a monster. Randle's Junior year JCA had about 5 running backs that would have started on 90% of the teams in the state...Was the end of the stone age though when Stone's otherwise stellar career as a coach had become stale.
