It's game day. So before I throw down my prediction and thoughts, I want to thank psybj for showing up this week. You appear to be a long time, a very imformed fan that loves and follows your team. The type of fellow I could enjoy sharing a beer with. Enjoy the game.

As for the game. I believe we're here a year early. I don't believe we have the horses to win a National Title this year. Taking a defense from #120 or somewhere to #28 or so is in itself a major win and huge accomplishment for the Sooners. Lincoln pullled the trigger on Stoops to make this happen, hired Grinch has executed his role impressively. And here we are. And while I think we don't have all the necessary personnel to earn a Natty. We can actually win this playoff game. Of the three other teams in the playoffs, OU matches up better against LSU. It won't be a cake walk and according to the media and oddsmakers it'll be a huge upset. But I do it can happen.

Hurts will have to play lights out. No INTs. No fumbles. He will have to run for 125 yards, 2 TDs & throw into the strength of LSU's defense for at least another 275 and 2 TDs. None of which will be an easy feat. Brooks will have to run for at least 150+ yards and 2 TDs. The defense will need at least 2 turnovers, 4 TFL, 4 sacks, all of which is doable w/ their RB out of the game. I expect a high scoring game with the winner to have 50+ points. Coach's call plays, players execute. I think LR dials up a decent game as does Grinch. I've rambled enough.

OU 52
LSU 47

Sooners go toe to toe with LSU and come out with a 38-33 win in ATL. Brooks has huge game as the LSU defenders key on Lamb and Rambo. He is the MVP in this game in my opinion. Brkic remains perfect.

Heart says it's an epic beatdown 52-17 good guys.
Head says we are one year too early. Injuries and suspensions may be too much to overcome. We keep it close but we loose 35-31.

I'm sure hurts will be good for at least 2 turnovers. I say we keep it close until the 3rd quarter. Lsu pulls ahead for a 31 to 21 win.

I am torn as I want OU to beat the crap out of the **** talking LSU players but I also know OU will have its hands full defending Burrows and company. If OU can sustain long scoring drives and JH doesn’t turn the ball over I think we win a somewhat surprising low scoring 30-23 type game.

if JH turns it over it will get ugly for us and we lose big 48-23 as the D will give it all but get worn down.

In the end though I believe and will go with the 30-23 win.

38-34 OU. Burrow looks like a broke down burro when it’s all said and done.

Sooners 35 LSU 31. LSU kicks a field a goal with 2:30 to play in the game to go up 31-28. Hurts leads us down the field and we score a TD with 1 minute to play.

I'm just praying I make it to the Final Buzzer, and that we get The 'W' without having to call on Sooner Magic...Good to know we Have it, if needed! BOOMER!

A lot bought into Riley's optimistic whistling by the graveyard here. We are the big fish in little big XII pond. The only reason we're in the playoffs is because we played no one this year but still managed a loss; oh, I'm sorry, Baylor twice. And anyone want to guess why BU had a great year? Big f'n XII.

After the USC debacle I was at in person, never thought I'd have to turn away from an OU game of this magnitude again, but can't watch anymore. Damn this is depressing....
