Okay, check you agendas before entering this thread and give your prediction and analysis for the season.

Here is mine.

First, our defense will be much better this year but we are still playing some great offenses in this conference and they will not be surprised by our attacking strategy this year. Expect a solid performance from the defense, but they will get burned here or there.

On offense, there will be some surprises this year (at least for the 90% of our fans who don't listen to what the coach says). I expect this year's offense to have MUCH more triple option flavor to it. Expect to see Skylar lined up at QB with Crest lined up as a RB a lot and we (& the opponents) will have no idea who is getting the ball. With Crest in the slot, expect him to motion in a lot and may get the football and throw often. If the pass is not there, he will be running and do some serious damage. Yes we will still run the slant and all of the pass plays, but this offense will be much more run option oriented than in the past.

I expect or offense to be shockingly good to the country and to most of the people on this board. I also expect our special teams to finally be a strength and not just because of kicking. We finally have the depth to field a strong special teams squad.

So here is what I predict. Including our bowl, I am predicting a 9-4 finish. That will be an excellent result given our competition. I come to this is by selecting 3 caregories;

1. Games we should win
2. Games we should lose
3. The rest - not predicting wins and loses for this group, just that we will win our share of these games.

I'm sure that some in here will think that I am crazy putting TCU in the toss up category, but these two teams play very close and usually win or lose this game in one play. Putting them in the "toss up" category is easy.

Games that we should win:

Ga Southern
Liberty
Maryland
Texas Tech
Kansas
Iowa State

Games that we should lose;

Baylor
Oklahoma

Games that are close enough to be called toss ups - we win 2 & lose 2:

TCU
Oklahoma State
Texas
Kansas State

good stuff, Wii, I hope it turns out that way.

would love to see a return to a read option & triple option offense. that would wreak havoc in the pass happy BXII.

I couldn't tell someone or accurately describe what exactly our offensive identity is.

Howard + Receivers = ?

RBs are good & experienced, but won't be relied on heavily.

The D will be similar to last year.

Lambert will be vital. O'Toole is OK. Punt return is guilty until proven innocent.

One guarantee I will make is if turnovers are again that big an issue, it will definitely be a rough season with changes coming.

Stay off the hot seat no ifs ands buts about it must wins
Ga South
Liberty
at Kansas
Iowa State

Not gimmes but if you show up, you win
Maryland
Texas Tech - we did to them last year what Tcu did to us. could be close again & they've won in Motown before

The stars would have to align to win
at Oklahoma - Perine
at Baylor - last time in Waco 73 points & 864 yards were surrendered
at TCU - 3rd road trip in October alone. Thursday night home game for TCU. They could be No. 1
at K-State - it's no wonder they scheduled us for Senior Night. Synder 3 Dana 0

Will get one but not both
Okla State - Gundy stops us from 3 in a row
Texas - we stop Texas from 3 in a row

7-5

The bowl looms large to get to that evasive 8th win. Would be our biggest win of the season.

If you ask people to "check [their] agendas before entering this thread", you probably shouldn't ignore your own instructions by taking a shot at "90% of our fans who don't listen to what the coach says".

Your opinions were fine without the unnecessary implication. Some interesting observations in there otherwise.

can't argue with any of these predictions ..well thought out....but it's not a science, and it never will be..if it was so predictable.. we would all be living in Vegas ..I remember when every magazine in the nation had Arizona St in the top ten pre-season one year and they ended up with a losing record..
