Not wishin injury on the kid but any running qb who runs as much as him is setting themselves up for injury. The kid really is fantastic but somebody better tell him that risking jumping over a defender when your up by 3 scores is a stupid thing to do!

If he keeps hurdling, especially if he ever encounters a decent LB corps, he'll get badly injured.

He's putting up great numbers, though. Great athlete, just might be around a mere fraction of the season.

I predict that if he continues at this rate he will get a ton of Heisman hype. He's ridiculous. But he may wear out at some point. He is pretty much the whole offense.

Would kill for UK to have this guy,

If we had him, he would trip over the five yard line in a sink hole, caused by the ancient Indian burial grounds under Commonwealth, break an ankle and never Play football again until he recovers after running out of eligiblity to become Super Bowl mvp

He really is a large portion of their offense. A guy like that can take a good offense and make it outstanding. He is big and strong and durable. I think he can handle this.

I don't know. I thought for sure he wouldn't last the whole season last year and he didn't get hurt. The kid is a really good athlete. He's unfortunately cocky and takes to many unnecessary risks for a QB. Somebody is going to take exception to him and make it a mission to break him in half. It's just a matter of when, I think.

I would not call him cocky. He is confident. And, I agree, takes unnecessary risks.

Really, you don't notice his strutting and dancing? I mean he can back it up, but it's cocky and arrogant. But I expect no less from a Petrino/Louisville's unholy Trinity of a team.

Any qb running 21 times in a game is going to have a short shelf life. Especially one that weighs 195lbs.

He IS ul. Without him they are average at best.

This.

Also I was thinking the same thing as OP last night. He wouldn't run like that against a Big Ten or SEC schedule. The ACC has some teams too that will punish him for doing that. Even if he doesn't get hurt (I hope he doesn't) he will be beat up by the last part of the season.

No. I see a kid who scores TDs and goes immediately to the bench. I think if most athletes could do what he does, most would celebrate a lot more than he. He seems rather subdued and focused for a kid who is scorching the turf and breaking calculators.

I really don't know which Lamar Jackson you guys are watching but I have never seen him strut and dance on the sideline. I see him go to the bench, grab a towel and then slap hands with his teammates. If is doing those antics on the sideline, I have not seen it. My question is, if he was doing this who cares, this kid is as talented a FB player that I have seen in quite some time. I despise UL but I have to give credit where credit is due, he is an absolute stud FB player. FSU might be able to contain him, but they will not be able to stop him. UL's defense is solid as well. Their offense put up over 800 yards last night, they may put over a 1000 against us. I have heard from a couple of UL insiders who go to practice, that Jawon Pass throws a better ball than Jackson does and is just as fast. So Bobby has himself another stud waiting in the wings. I for one don't want to see any player get hurt regardless of who he plays for. I watch UL play now, just to watch Jackson. He is the talk of college FB so far this season.

Kid's a badass. Only two QBs in the country I think I'd take over him are Watson and Barrett, and that's two guys who have played for a title already (or should have in Barrett's case).

Wish we had him.

To be honest, if Barker goes down, we're probably toast as well. Just about any team with a good to great QB is screwed if they go down.

Lamar can't leave UL soon enough. So sick of their success based on shady tactics and a decade of easy schedules.

I love when one person says something and the defenders come in with "you guys" acting as if there was some consensus.

Hey, if you don't want to explain why you are so hateful, that is fine by me.

Here is what I know about you: what you tell us in your posts.

If you don't explain, but simply lay out a conclusion, then you might not know the meaning of the word "comprehension."
