The time has come after a momentous offseason with the hiring a legenday offensive coordinator and a promising QB room coach; with the unveiling of the Cats' future home.

The Cats host South Dakota State in their opener. Although SDSU is an FCS team, they will likely be a challenge, particularly in NU's first game. SDSU has already had its first game, demolishing Stetson 70-7. Coach Braun has some familiarity with the Jackrabbit program from his time at rival North Dakota State.

For the Cats, the defense, particularly the secondary, looks to be solid. Most curiosity will focus on the offense and Chip Kelly's reworking of those units.

The Cats should win, but SDSU will probably make them work for it.

I realize now this is the same prediction as NU06. That is purely coincidental.

We run the ball, and run it some more. A SDSU turnover gives us a 2-score lead, and the Rabbits resort to the passing game. Another turnover, and the Cats pull away 31-13.

I do believe our offense will get going with 3 first-half scores. The defense give up a TD before becoming stingy. Half time 17-7. We extend the lead with two quick scores in the 3rd. After another score to start the fourth, the rest of the game is clean up. Rabbits may get a short-field TD if the offense makes a bunch of mistakes. They get one in clean up at end of game.

Well, that’s how it plays in my head.

It was set there, most of the last act looked like studio, though.
It was; the National Park Service (or whatever it was called in 1959) wouldn't let them film on the mountain. The scenes at Rushmore before that were really filmed there; as a boy, I had lunch in the snackbar where Eve-Marie Saint shoots Cary Grant with blanks. (It's been torn down and replaced, sadly.)

I agree. They've re-done the whole area. The newish walkway below the faces is pretty cool, but the old walk up from the parking lot with the flags and natural setting is sorely missed by locals.
