Saw many harbingers of good things to come for next year on Sat at Rice. On offense, Billingsley is gonna be a major weapon the next 2 years-caught first TD pass. Brown and Cooper back on left side of line and were on D line also. Had 2 sophs starting on D in Walker and McGee. They are set at many spots. Prep Bowl has enabled them to get 4 extra games In.
The game has no meaning anymore. There isn't a public team that could touch any of the Catholic league. It's a boring waste of time.
Then don't watch it! I have no affiliation with any CCL teams, yet I went out to the Rice/MC game last weekend because it was a nice day and I enjoy good high school football. I didn't find it boring or a waste of time. Good football, got to hang out with some Catholic League friends and enjoyed a few beverages after the game at a local pub. What is the harm in that?
I won't watch it, if it was going to be a good game I would. But face reality, no public league team would beat any CCL team, and That includes Ignatius.
I love the Prep Bowl.End it and ALL CPS schools qualified get in the State Playoffs including ALL Inner City & Windy City Conferences.So that would eliminate many 5-4 schools from the burbs

No one is salty and you should enjoy the nice season that Laurence had and don't worry they will be in the prep bowl soon enough.
Hopefully they can knock off the prep bowl mainstays Rice in the years to come

Nice run you had this year, maybe next year you can get past the first round of any play offs. Lot of talk of state championship this year. Then Prep Bowl. And now next year. Haha.

Any 8a team should beat a 5a team, awesome accomplishment. And I remember Laurence keeping the game close until the final quarter.

He's doing it his way and definitely puts the local kids first. Look at the roster throughout the entire program 90% of the kids are neighborhood kids
