No, it'll be a big crowd....Simeon/Phillips versus any team from the blue will draw crowds. Friday during 1-4A state at Noon is the perfect time. Prep bowl reform needed

Yeah congrats to Rita is definitely in order, they went what 3-6 this year? What a fantastic season, Champagne is on ice!
It was a strange season. Those 6 losses were to 4 teams playing tomorrow, a team that came within 3 points of playing tomorrow and another state playoff qualifyer and Rita was within 1 or 2 scores in every game except maybe the Loyola loss. It's good to see the players finish a tough season on a high note, especially the seniors.

Rice was 2-7 in 2017. I can see Rita having a Rice-like turnaround next year.
the current upperclassmen are very talented....i recall someone posting their records as Fr-Soph. Rice offense is completely different than SR, QB Bean slings the rock to his playmakers rather than jet sweeping or diving up the middle. Get these athletes in space!
The problem with the Prep Bowl is the system use to determine the teams. The system they use hasn’t changed even though the IHSA playoffs have so the quality of available teams has gone down hill.
I would propose rather then having playoffs they would be better served extending invites to tbe best available teams from each league like the college bowl system. MC vs Simeon seem much more evenly matched and entertaining.

You might be onto something here.
Current set up is like winning the losers bracket of the losers bracket.
The goal of any CCL team is to never play in the prep bowl.
I’ve posted multiple times that participation should completely depend on a team vote. Every team is different. Congrats to Rita.

A team vote? Maybe we should let the kids vote on should there be homework? Maybe vote to do away with grades and make all classes pass/fail? Any group of players that vote not to try to go out winners learned nothing from football especially any seniors.
