Preseason prediction was 4-8, so 5-7 not so bad...this is slightly better than expected...When I posted my prediction on the pre-season prediction thread...everyone was calling me debby downer...Well I got news for you. I am not debby downer...I am Reggie Realist. Nothing this team or coaching staff has done in the past two years, now 3 years, gives me any confidence that they can win more than 4-5 games. I figure UK would win 3 cupcake games, and then beat VANDY. Well, I did not see UK beating SC, and Mizzou...so I was pleased when that happended...they then proceed to prove to everyone else including me,,,the CATS have a long, long way to go..my prediction for next season will be 4-8 again. I hope that STOOPS and the CATS prove me wrong.

What's your ceiling for this coaching staff? I predicted 6-6 this season and they choked that way against Vandy and UL....but I do not see anything more than 6-6, 7-5 tops with Stoops if he coaches 10 years at UK.

It's not the record...it's how they played. I would feel much better if they finished 2-10 but played tough physical games that they were in to the end only to lose in a nail-bitter. That didn't happen. Oh, and the coaching is pathetic.

Sorry, nothing personal, but this is silly.

Sure, if Auburn was a powerhouse as usual, and if Mizzou and South Carolina were as good as they were meant to be, then maybe 5-7 would be understandable.

However, the expectation of those teams does not match the reality! Two of those teams turned out to be horrible, and two performed below expectations. And louisville is not a good team either. You can pat yourself, and Stoops, and this team on the back all you like. The reality is that we lost to several teams that, once we had empirical evidence of their quality, we should have beaten.

There are no moral victories this year. You can search for them if you like, but a decent UK team should have been 7-5 with the way this schedule worked out.

OP actually based this on our team more than who we were playing. He was right on his observations, so what's that say about this program and staff. This had to be the easiest schedule we will see in the next 10 to 20 years and we still only win 5 games. South Carolina, Missouri,Louisville and Vandy were all horrible and we only end up splitting those. Florida, UT, and Auburn all pretty average this year and you get them all at home. Should at least win one of those. Barely beat two of our cupcake games. We get spanked by an average Miss. St. and UT.

Next year will be brutal.

This is the easiest schedule UK has had in years. Not getting a bowl this year is unacceptable.
