Started this on 4A but wanted to know about 3A also

State champion prediction?
Cinderella story/most improved team?
Biggest drop off?

I'm predicting a Lord Botetourt-Hopewell match up in the championship.

If Magna Vista can put some points up then I have the Warriors playing in December. The Blue Funk should be alive and well this season. Gotta get that QB situation right!

i think Hopewell and lord Botetourt will both be very good but there are a lot of good teams in 3a west and 3a east a lot of things can happen during the season , but they both will be in the mix come playoff time.

Dont believe the hype! Magna Vista was falling off last year and all their talent graduated! in 7v7 this summer they didnt look great and i heard Bassett worked them in linemen 1v1s. GW will rule the piedmont and my dawgs will be nipping at their heels with one of the fastest backfields in the state! Bassett is on the way up and Halifax has speed!

Thanks for the updates. I’m telling people, Coach Johnson is gonna be one of the state’s best! Bassett will be in contender status in a few years. GW will be very very good but the defense has to show up. They will be young but should compete for 4a. I’m hopeful the Dogs can make some noise in 2a. Tanner is picking up where Martin left off. Dogs are in good hands.

MV has owned this county/Mville in football since it was built 30 years ago with the exception of a handful of years. Believe me it’s gonna remain that way.

that Hopewell norcom game is big because both team are in the same region last year norcom won but Hopewell went on to win the 3a state champs so it's a big game for both teams for seeding later in the playoffs.

GW will run the district this year, because they are loaded! Bassett is on the up and up. I hope the Warriors can be consistent and move the ball. But Martinsville might win 2 games! They can have to fast back in the state, but if they don't have a line then they are useless!
