Could it be a Christmas miracle?! I doubt it but you can always hope...

Chris Matthews Predicts Trump Could Resign ‘In The Coming Weeks’

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews said Monday that President Donald Trump could resign as part of a deal with special counsel Robert Mueller.

Matthews said Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump could be the “next dominoes to fall” in the investigation and could face prosecution and possible prison time.

Then, he speculated:

“But what if the prosecutor were to offer the president an alternative. What if he were to say he would let the children walk if the old man does the same? That would mean giving up the presidency in exchange for acquittals all around ― not just for himself, but for all his kids.”

He said Trump may have to take a page out of the book of former Vice President Spiro Agnew, who resigned in 1973 as part of a deal with prosecutors to avoid prison time in a tax evasion case.

“Leverage the office while you still have it,” Matthews advised.

“So let’s watch the probable events of the coming weeks bring all this to a breaking point,” he said. “It is going to be historic.”

Whole thing reads like erotic fanfic. There's too much money in this for the Trumps to walk away. Gotta milk every last dime out of this grift.

I'll believe it when I see it. The media is batting 0.000 when it comes to predicting anything about Biff. Only way he walks away is if he portrays to his base that he was victorious.

No way he walks away unscathed. Even IF Mueller agreed to some type of deal like that, (which he won't) trump is being investigated in numerous other investigations by the DOJ.

Somehow, Trump strikes me as the type to think about Trump first. So if you are thinking he would resign to save his children from jail time, not likely. I could be wrong.

He'll pardon his children first. He's going to do what makes the best sense for him and what he thinks will serve him best. That's why I don't think he runs again in 2020.

There's no limit to what he would do to save face. He would douse Ivanka's hair in gasoline, light it on fire, then push her off a cliff if he had to.

Being forced out of office would be the ultimate humiliation so he wants to avoid that of course. He'll go berserk if/when any of his family gets indicted and it could very well happen. Imo Trump will be charged with crimes, I just don't know how that will play out. Once that happens he'll be radioactive and there's no way he could be elected again and he probably wouldn't run. It's fun to speculate, right?

My measuring stick in all of this is Mattis. When he leaves, that means Biff is done.
