Last year you said Rojas was the biggest liability on the defenseThere's no "qualifying" them. I was wrong because I underestimated the impact of Rojas. That's on me
None of us get everything right--but that also goes to your belief Allar has to be perfect
I'll never forget Brady slicing up PSU s defense in 99 for a comeback win....and of course Derek Fox getting targeted one play after anotherThere's a difference. Brady was a very good college quarterback.
That last question pizzed CJF off. It was a dart. This press conference:
Postgame Press Conference with Head Coach James Franklin - Northwestern - Penn State - Official Athletics Website
I believe answers any questions wrt HCJF's expectations of longevity as PSU Head FB Coach.
As I have said comic relief. In addition to the laughs, you also know how other people feel. I am always in absolute amazement of the powers of the great and powerful Lando!False, that's not what you hoped
It's 100% the scheme--and, yes, ametuers should see that which proves how clueless you are
You aren't comprehending what you're seeing but I've always not that about you. It would take you decades to get a clue. You literally waste your time watching football.
Rojas missed way too many tackles and struggled in coverage. Was that untrue last year?Last year you said Rojas was the biggest liability on the defense
Haven’t had the stomach to watch. Care to elaborate about said question (and his response)? That last question pizzed CJF off. It was a dart.
Depth? Deluca is a starter and a disasterRojas missed way too many tackles and struggled in coverage. Was that untrue last year?
We have zero depth at LB this year as we've seen since his injury
The last question was, "You seemed like you were more involved with the offensive play calling today, was that the case?"Haven’t had the stomach to watch. Care to elaborate about said question (and his response)?
To that end, I see the same problems with Franklin that Paterno had for many years until the Dark Years forced him to change: he has too much loyalty to guys that he's recruited. Paterno used to always repeat these platitudes about guys, "paying their dues," and so forth. That's garbage. Put the best players on the field.Depth? Deluca is a starter and a disaster
He was actually quite average in college. 30 td's and 17 ints. 61.9% completion rate. Why he was a 6th round pickThere's a difference. Brady was a very good college quarterback.
I don't understand the focus on Deluca, a walk-on. Plenty of 4 stars getting blown up on that defense. The last question was, "You seemed like you were more involved with the offensive play calling today, was that the case?"
Franklin said (paraphrasing): 'Today was no different than any other game this season, and no different than it's been for the last 12 years. I don't know where that's coming from.'
I think it's more the idea that, like... there's no one else that can play better than this? We have all these touted recruits, but no one is better than the walk-on that's constantly getting exposed?I don't understand the focus on Deluca, a walk-on. Plenty of 4 stars getting blown up on that defense.
For years?
You're a troll. Peskier than most, but still a troll.
He clearly has no idea what to do, how to fix anything, how to motivate the players, lead the program, you name it. One of us could probably be on the sidelines vs Iowa and we would get the same losing result that he will. Talk about a complete and utter dumpster fire that he is 100% accountable for. His whole world has come crashing down. Now he has created this huge problem for Pat Kraft and Penn State.
I think it's more the idea that, like... there's no one else that can play better than this? We have all these touted recruits, but no one is better than the walk-on that's constantly getting exposed?
I think this is one of Franklin's biggest weaknesses as a coach. He's too buddy-buddy with the players, and not business-oriented enough. DeLuca is a 3-year captain, right? And Franklin feels like he's just earned the right to be out there, and he won't take it away from him. But a GOOD coach would make that call. A good coach would say, "Dom... you're getting knocked out of the play every single snap. I can't keep throwing you out there. I need to put the guys on the field that are going to WIN the game."
In my mind, that's what is missing. I keep asking the question, what is Cignetti doing down there in Indiana. The whole team just started playing like 5 stars pretty much in an instant. It has to relate to motivation. Believing. Playing with emotion.
Only a dumb chemist would suggest same.Maybe iu is stealing signs.

I don’t know if u saw IU game…Iu was a recipient of a terrible no call hold on receiver/pi call and Cignetti went ballistic got a warning but was directly in face of official then appeared to yell to the players. You can’t fail to be fired up after that.In my mind, that's what is missing. I keep asking the question, what is Cignetti doing down there in Indiana. What you just described is the most basic tenet of being a head coach.Reminds me of a story Adam Breneman told about Bill O'Brien. Breneman went into O'Brien's office and asked why he wasn't getting more playing time. O'Brien told him he couldn't trust him based on what he saw in practice. And that was that. Breneman practiced more intensely.
