It would have been real good to get this last one and the K St monkey off our back but a bowl win will help for certain.....so....where we goin? Cactus? That'd be my thinkin....
I will forget about today sooner if we draw a nice matchup with a Pac-12 school in the Cactus. Keeping my fingers crossed...
I like to call it the status quo, par for the course. With Dana running things, 7 wins is about where WVU is going to peak, maybe 8 wins but it damn sure won't be next year with the brutal OOC schedule and many of the Big 12 schools will be as good, if not better.
Missing an awful lot of the D that managed to keep us in a lot of games...even 7-8 will be a tall task next year unless Crest/Chugs/Sills can push Howard for the job, and Dana can suddenly manage to discover game management skills by Sept. ...
Yep, the way I see it. Keeping Dana for next year will only be a salary dump move in terms of buyout with the buyout decreasing by a few million. No chance this team is any better next year, lose a lot on defense and Howard is the quarterback once again. If Smallwood is smart, he'll go pro after this season.
The trolls and low information fans are always predicting that the team will be bad next year. WVU was only a few plays away from 9 wins this season. The schedule will much better and a 10 win season is a real possibility.
Very optimistic of you. Likely same QB and same line. Smallwood can come back and White/Durante/Gibson is not a terrible receiving combo (although last night they kind of screwed the pooch). So the offense may be able to improve upon this season, but I'm not optimistic about how WVU is going to look without those linebackers on defense. Its likely that the defense takes a step back as much as the offense takes a step forward. At this point I'd say this is baseless optimism that you can use like the TV/radio personalities. Make the claim now and crow it from the rooftops if the team looks really good next season, but have the ability to just ignore it when most people forget about it if the team looks more like the same ole.
10 win season is a real possibility? About as real as me hooking up with Victoria Azarenka and Simona Halep.
I will have to admit that I had to Google both of those names, but after further review I think the Victoria chick could be had but Simona is probably out of your league.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
I haven't really predicted anything. Just going off the "high information trolls" stating this was a good season.
