At least the positive is Whalen is a stud, ranked 8th on flo. Didn’t know he was ranked that high.Clark down 7-1 ...Whalen gonna be tough this year ...same old story ..no takedowns from clark..loses 8-2

Whalen going to be very good, him winning Midlands last year was a good indicator of his year this season.Clark down 7-1 ...Whalen gonna be tough this year ...same old story ..no takedowns from clark..loses 8-2
I think it's okay to have high expectations. We have little to go on aside from matches like these. I agree that Blanchette has had to cut from his high school weight, and he's in a new environment now. I'm still hoping he has potential. On the flip side, I'd like to see the guys coming into the season in better condition, and maybe he wasn't.What an over reaction by some people. The idea that a freshman will never contribute to the team because of his showing in his first college tourney is ridiculous. I remember plenty of RU freshmen who needed some seasoning and experience before showing out over their careers. John VanBrill comes to mind but there were several others. Have faith and trust the process. And give some slack to the freshmen who cut weight from their senior years of high school.
Agree, I think AA lost to a Lehigh kid in his first tourn(East Stroudsburg?) and then his next tourn he lost to lehigh backup. He also won a bunch at each tourn, but I still remember people being surprised he lost.....D 1 is a different animal. What an over reaction by some people. That stinks.. hope he is ok unless it was just a MFF to not wrestle it… seems like we didn’t learn much at the Princeton open except maybe our guys need more conditioning and no huge impact wrestler just yet..Clark wrestled once after dropping a dec to Whalen but then MFF his last match
