It looks like Harer (157) is registered as unattached while DiStefano (157) and Villani (149) are both attached.
Harer lost in the round of 16 to a true freshmen. DiStefano lost in the round of 16 to a kid from Rider. Both of the guys who beat them lost in the round of 8.What were the results?![]()
Dang was the true freshman Harer lost to any good/blue chipper out of hs?? Not good, Harer was getting a lot of hype coming out of hs.. was hoping he flipped the switch after he beat the Northwestern kid that went on to take 4th.Harer lost in the round of 16 to a true freshmen. I don’t think Villani wrestled.

Hawk from Nj and a true freshman beat Adams in the next round. Harer also lost in wrestlebacks to a kid from Brown that had a losing record 5-1. Hopefully he can bounce backDang was the true freshman Harer lost to any good/blue chipper out of hs?? Quick Draw Mcraw reaction. As a true freshman and thrown up against some of the best competition the country had to offer, I'm thinking he wrestled as good or better than most would have expected. Now, what looks to be shaping up as a RS year you jump to that conclusion?as of now, Harer is a bust. We will see what happens but his offense is almost non existent. Good thing is we have depth in that area in room and coming between Magro, possibly Parkins and Nini if weight put on and there is always the Portal.
Phillipsburg kid has a lot of potential, his style (when he stays on the attack) should carry over pretty well to collegeI wouldn't write him off yet, but let's just admit that OUR fans expectations were quite lofty. I do think a redshirt year would of been good. Not every true freshman is going to be in AA contention off that bat. He wrestled very defensive in HS, so I'm not exactly sure why people thought his style would drastically change.
I wasn't so concerned with the loss to the kid from Oregon State. He's a good wrestle. Im a little dumbfounded with the loss to Brown and even the Oregon State kids loss to the Phillipsburg kid.
If Harer redshirts then it's another season of White. Hopefully he finds offense as well, but it looked like the same stuff with him against lesser competition, despite the two wins.
What phillipsburg kid? Hawk?Phillipsburg kid has a lot of potential, his style (when he stays on the attack) should carry over pretty well to college
I don’t think the fanbase should start trashing Harer yet , he’s young and not to mention his brother is committed and has legit ncaa champ potential so maybe hold off on tar and feathering harer atleast until baby brother is on campus and in a Rutgers singlet
They're a solid wrestling family. Really looking forward to having him on the team for years to come.Phillipsburg kid has a lot of potential, his style (when he stays on the attack) should carry over pretty well to college

YesWhat phillipsburg kid? Hawk?
I wouldn't give up on Harer yet, although we have seen this plenty of times before. If he beats White, he should wrestle. I'm hoping his best year isn't behind him like it was with Soldano and Poz. All that time in a D1 room should improve wrestlers year over year.Phillipsburg kid has a lot of potential, his style (when he stays on the attack) should carry over pretty well to college

It’s not a quick draw reaction sadly. It’s data, how a wrestler does his freshman year is usually how his career goes on avg.. so rn Harer is roughly a borderline qualifier give or take. The problem is some fans had too much expectations.Quick Draw Mcraw reaction. He should have been a national qualifier but those bubble spots have not been kind to Rutgers the last few years. Calling him a bust at this point is premature.as of now, Harer is a bust. Good thing is we have depth in that area in room and coming between Magro, possibly Parkins and Nini if weight put on and there is always the Portal.
For what’s it worth.. the Oregon state kid and the Brown kid neither ended up placing… and of the wrestlers that did place I didn’t recognize a single name except the champ, Antonio, who is true freshman and was #27 on big board last year… this is a bit worrisome to say the least…I wouldn't write him off yet, but let's just admit that OUR fans expectations were quite lofty. That might also apply to Shawver.I think the opposite. I think Harer will turn it around and have a very surprising season. It's only one tournament. He could have been in a funk or might not be mentally or physically ready yet. He will get
there. He does have to get his offense going a little more that I will admit. Too tentative with his offense. Remember when Perroti came off his All American year and had lack luster performances.Everyone wrote him off, and then he came back and AA'd again. Same happened to me. AA'd one year, had a not great next year performance and the I AA'd agains. Its just a funk.He will snap out of it.
Molinaro...what an ahole he was.Forgot that momo coached here.Harer needs to choose TOP! Hope he does not watch the Frank Molinaro video "I choose down"

Backstory is crackers has no idea what he’s talking about and if you read his post history, him calling anyone an a-hole is richWhat's the backstory there? "An a-hole"
Frank is far from that my guess is it's because he wrestled for Penn st. Frank is a nice guy and very friendly and willing to BS with anyone about wrestlingWhat's the backstory there? "An a-hole"
Ask Ashnault, Perroti and Theobold if he such a great guy. I see you are back to your ole douche self.Good, it will make it easier to tear into your stupid *** and your extreme lack of wrestling knowledge.Backstory is crackers has no idea what he’s talking about and if you read his post history, him calling anyone an a-hole is rich
There’s not a single person in the Rutgers wrestling community who has a good word to say about you so maybe take a look in the mirror once in a whileAsk Ashnault, Perroti and Theobold if he such a great guy. 100% genuine dude. Still comes back home to NJ to work with local kids for free when he’s not busy coaching or with his own kids.Frank is far from that my guess is it's because he wrestled for Penn st. Frank is a nice guy and very friendly and willing to BS with anyone about wrestling
Maybe you and 5 others on this board have nothing to say good about me. You ask alumni from nineteen eighty to nineteen ninety that hold me with such reverence. And yet, here you are, with 0 pedigree trying to be high handed.WNG alone holds me in high regard.I can rattle off a list of RU alum that still consider me a Rutgers legend. So you spend your timing living vicariously through college kids. There’s not a single person in the Rutgers wrestling community who has a good word to say about you so maybe take a look in the mirror once in a while
Molinaro gets hate from a part of the Rutgers fanbase bc in an interview many years ago he laughed when asked if he considered Rutgers coming out of high school which I could understand could rub some people the wrong way but in reality Molinaro just won his 3rd state title, ,took 2nd at senior nationals, was ranked very high nationally and had ncaa championship and Olympic dreams , meanwhile during Franks senior year Rutgers placed 1 guy at eiwas (Whalen 6th) and qualified 0 for ncaas and like 60 percent of the lineup was one time NJ state placers. Molinaro going to rutgers at that time would be like if Knox decided to go rider today. Its just unrealistic and no reason to keep carrying hate for a guy who literally coached here years later , has spoken highly of what Rutgers has become and is a good dude who gives up his time and energy for the kids regularly for free in a world where guys like JB and Bo Nickal charge 10,000 for camp appearances and not to mention he’s one of the best NJ wrestlers of all time. What's the backstory there? Says the guy who picks and prods over a prediction that I vehemently admitted I was wrong on.Dont know him personally and never met him, but most here seem to think highly of Frank versus the lone wolf who seems to find an axe to grind with just about anyone.
Picks and prods? Lol! That's a big stretch. Try not to get so butt hurt when I make a casual observation, especially when it goes against you. The vast majority of replies here strongly refute your stance on Frank. It's ok when people don't agree with you. Have a nice rest of the day.Says the guy who picks and prods over a prediction that I vehemently admitted I was wrong on.
