Not saying I agree or disagree, but could someone tell me what they base their ratings on?

If you click on a school...it states the criteria:

  1. Academics
  2. Diversity
  3. Teachers
  4. College Prep
  5. Clubs & Activities
  6. Sports

A lot of the ranking is based on self reporting. This link gives the % breakdown on how they come up with the rankings.
https://about.niche.com/methodology/best-private-high-schools/

A good example is Fenwick, Niche reports the ACT as 29 from the responses received, Fenwick self reports an average ACT score of 27.7. It all depends on who fills out the survey.

(This is no knock on Fenwick, it is an excellent and well above average Catholic high school and has an excellent ACT average score. I am just using Fenwick as an example)

Funny thing about that site is it is high schools and a majority of the top ten are lower and middle schools as well as high schools.

The Lab School does not have 2,000 high school students thus whatever criteria this site uses is pretty wrong.
