Wow, Doc. I've never heard anyone describe the place one way or the other. Always kind of imagined it'd be toward the top end of arenas. Guess I'll see. I had imagined we'd have a pretty good turnout, what with the many East Coast alums . . . but with the way the season has gone, I'm guessing enthusiasm has dampened a bit. Still would love to see a decent purple turnout, though.I used to go to the Big East Tournament every year with Georgetown until 1995. MSG is one of the poorest designed arenas ,I have ever seen. They had the main entrances to the floor at mid court, so elephants entering the arena had the best views. The concourses narrowed significantly for no apparent reason creating congestion during halftime and games' end
There may have been changes since my last visit but MSG is nothing special but enjoy NYC
. . . who's going to MSG for the BTT? I'm looking forward to seeing the place; never been there.
So you're saying it's the Penn Station of arenas?I used to go to the Big East Tournament every year with Georgetown until 1995. MSG is one of the poorest designed arenas ,I have ever seen. We need fans at our games next week! Plural is intentional. Check StubHub. TONS of great seats are available!

The Garden concourse is the only place in the city you can still get pound of meat corned beef or pastrami sandwiches from Carnegie Deli. The acoustics aren't great but the sightlines are good. I'm starting to get the itch. Tournament ball can be the best!
But for the beer (since I don't drink the stuff), I'm gonna take your advice on the pastrami, Medill. Pastrami may not be cardiology approved, but it makes the world a happier place. You gotta go with the Pastrami. Other parts of the country do good corned beef. But nowhere but NY can you get decent pastrami. With a dark mustard. Wash it down with a beer.

Yeah, it's a lot of fun. I've been lucky enough not to have missed one yet.If they get to Friday, I may be able to get up there. Would be cool to go back to back years as I'm a big fan of the conference tournament. Haven't been able to do that in about a decade.
Wash anything down with the beer and I am goodYou gotta go with the Pastrami. Other parts of the country do good corned beef. But nowhere but NY can you get decent pastrami. With a dark mustard. Wash it down with a beer.
See, and I'd counter with "Wash anything down with pastrami and I'm good!"Wash anything down with the beer and I am good
NOW you're talkin', Jonny!I’ll be in San Diego for work from Wednesday - Saturday. Hoping the Cats keep winning and force me into trying to figure out how to watch the Friday/Saturday games. I’ll ditch out on work commitments and risk my career to watch a Big Ten tourney Cats run.

I just got 3 tickets for the Thurs night session based on the guess that we'll be in the 7/10 game. Prob playing IU or PSU. A couple friends coming with. If we beat Iowa on Sunday then there's a chance we go up to 8/9 (not sure who has tiebreak btw us and Wiscy as we split season series 1-1). If so I might take a half day Thurs and go watch all 4 games, though I'd imagine my friends would not join me in that.. . . who's going to MSG for the BTT? On this, they have re-done it since then so it's slightly more modern, and the concourses + concessions are much better than 10 or so years ago. They also added these overhanging Chase bridge seats which I've never actually used.I used to go to the Big East Tournament every year with Georgetown until 1995. There is only one very unlikely scenario in which we will be a 9 seed, so we are pretty much locked into 10. So our game will be at 6:30 on Thursday. I bought 4 in section 113 for $70 all in. Now if we make it to Friday prices will go up, but I will be happy to pay full price to root for the Cats on a second night!
Also think they will go in as a#10 seed. Hoping for the best. I may actually go. It will be the first Men's basketball game I've attended since another game in MSG, a mind-numbingly bad loss to Fordham.
I will be in 113 row 11 seats 6-9. Go Cats!I'm going! Section 115 Row 4 Seat 11, will be wearing a grey NU sweatshirt if anyone is nearby and wants to say hi. Thrilled to be able to attend, as it is not a frequent occurence for me (see above). Last sporting even I attended was the Pinstripe (where a Board lurker coincidentally sat right next to me) and was not able to attend anything prior to that since the aformentioned Fordham fisaco
Go Cats, and, even if we get blown out, thanks for the Seniors for giving me something I thought I would never see in my lifetime!
Sorry but that has to be" Wash Pastrami down with anything and I am good"See, and I'd counter with "Wash anything down with pastrami and I'm good!"![]()

Good to meet you too, Mike. That second half went about how I expected...Very nice to meet you and your family. Go Cats!
Where is your purple NU shirt?Cool, I'll try to stop by and say hello if the presumed throng of Penn State fans don't prevent me from doing so.
I have two purple and one grey; the grey one is nicer so I generally wear that one. The throng of Penn State fans never materialized at any rate.Where is your purple NU shirt?
