Its no secret duke has the most talent in college basketball, right now they are not playing that good. By February watch out, everyone will be hoping they can dodge them in the ncaa tourney

I'm cautiously optimistic. Very curious about what the locker room issues are though. I said it before the season and I'll say it again, despite the talent level Dukes never won a national title without great point guard play and unless someone steps up I feel like that trend will continue.

Jon Scheyer, who led the nation in assist to turnover ratio at like 4:1, along with averaging like 17 points a game. He was an outstanding lead guard that year.

Who was our great PG in 2010?

I think what lyonhawk may be saying though, Jon almost became PG by default midseason or so did he not? Didnt we have a Sunday nite loss at BC and subsequently turn things around? PG was sort of up in the air at the time- bottom line it wasnt like Tyus, take the keys from the get go....JMO

Like I said unless someone steps up, I think we'll be in trouble. Jon stepped up in a huge way and became a great point guard for us that season.

Zoubec rebounding help turn 2010 around in my opinion. We don't have anyone this year to control things when we are out of sync

Luke and Amile have showed me plenty as far as sturdy and, reliable go to guys. Right now the ball goes in Luke's hands when we need a play. Despite some of the Knocks on Matty J, I think he's the kind of guy that will make multiple timely big time plays. We have all the parts and the greatest coach. Can't ask for much more!

GO DUKE

There are a lot of things imo that can be pointed out.

First, the freshman getting healthy and no true rotation has been figured out.

Second, Luke has been on fire as of late and lets see how he does with no Grayson as a third scorer. Imo, Giles or Bolden can help as a presence downlow along with Jeter. This will put Amile at the four and leave Tatum, Luke and either Matt or Jackson on the floor to spread the floor with low post help.

It's about everyone buying in and leaders stepping up. Dukes conference schedule will challenge this team.

If this team stays healthy going forward and consistently shares the ball on offense, all will be fine. Injuries are largely outside the boundaries of personal control, but not shooting as soon as you touch the ball is not. Although many of the missed shots against Elon, a game in which Duke shot poorly, were not bad shots, they were taken early in the shot clock. As Bobby Knight says, "you can get that shot any time." If Duke patiently shares the ball, looking for a great shot, while still being aggressive on O, this team will be close to unstoppable. Make the other team consistently bust their butts trying to defend our guys. Better shot opportunities, more foul trouble on other team, less fouls on our guys. Biggest threat other than continued injuries is guys thinking that if they don't shoot when they get the chance, they won't get the ball back.

You had me until the Rodgers reference....now I want to be sick. :D

Side note....Rodgers is no longer dating Olivia Munn. Apparently he and Joe Buck have struck up a romance.

The answer to any of these so called issues is Coach K's rotations. A lot is made of Jon's PG playmaking, well that really didn't exist. Kyle, Jon and Nolan knew 90% of scoring had to come from them, everything else came from Lance, Zou and the Plumlees.

Roles need to be established quickly.

LONG season. Much growth still to be accomplished. First true hostile road game coming up. This team will look completely different within a matter of two months. Harry will be comfortable and Allen would have put everything behind him.
