Hard to imagine Liam Howlett rocking at any of those places, but I shouldn't underestimate his mastery of all crowds.

These places are drafty as hell and you’ll go broke paying the heating bill. You’d need around twenty people to run any of these houses, who needs that.

Don’t mind me, post what you like. No reason to gaf what I think here.

`Winston,' said Lady Astor to Churchill at a Cliveden breakfast, `if I were married to you I'd put poison in your coffee.'

`Nancy,' replied Churchill gloomily but with feeling, `if I were married to you, I'd drink it.'

This story and quotes were taken place at Cliveden.

Tgar has no idea what any of this means but if it includes drinking port and dropping acid in large spaces with massive portraits why not cast a vote.

For whatever reason, Chatsworth is the most intriguing.

Any remote chance this has to do with Lady Edith or Lady Mary?

Know someone who had a place like that in the early 80's. Friend of my dads. The help lived on the second floor of the mansion, he lived in a mini-mansion on the estate. He told me the heating bill for December-February ran him $28K and only the 2nd floor was fully heated, no one else lived on the other floors. He used the place just for parties. Can't imaging what it costs today.....
