And libs tell us there is nothing to be concerned about. This is a Georgetown Professor, not some poor young kid with no future prospects being radicalized.

"A Georgetown University Islamic studies professor has come under fire for a talk he gave earlier this week in which he offered an Islam-based defense of slavery, concubinage and non-consensual sex."

This professor is way off the mark. Our constitution allows him to speak this trash but thankfully our laws make it illegal, fot the most part, to do so.

The point is this is not some impoverished young man susceptible to radicalism. This is an educator at one of our finest institutions, Georgetown. For all thinking people, this is scary. If an intellectual can think this way, what does this say about Islam?

Not all Muslims think this way, but if intellectuals do, we have a bigger problem than just the uneducated ISIS crazies.

Frankly, this is why sections of the country are outlawing Sharia law. Our constitution is the law of the land and we cannot permit "sections" of the country to follow and enforce their own laws. This is happening in some sections of Europe today.

I know many Muslims because of my wife's Lebanese/Syrian background. I have learned time after time that Muslims marry under Muslim law in addition to U.S. law. But the women sign contracts that describe what happens in the event of a divorce. In many cases, these women get next to nothing regardless of the wealth of their husband. And shockingly, they don't exert their rights under relegate state law (e.g in Texas, community property).

It is my opinion that in line with the Constitution, Sharia is already outlawed; do you think it is not? Not only Muslim women sign contracts with their husbands as nuputial agreements have long been a part of the American way. If Muslim women don't exert their rights, that is on them. I would think that contract could be easily broken if the women wanted to do so.

Question on my part, are those Sharia Contracts binding in this country and if they are, have they ever been questioned/tested?

Not sure what the concern is. This is a tenant of Islam. It's accepted.

You completely ignore reality as most liberals do The fundamental rights as granted by the Constitution. You completely ignore the fact they did not take advantage of these rights. Apparently you are on the Islamist side. I am so very glad you showed your colors.

What are you talking about? I asked you a question concerning Sharia marriage contracts were binding in this country and have they ever been challenged . I asked that because I did not know. Additionally, I stated that my opinion Sharia law was outlawed by The Constitution.

I am having a hard time decerning how that makes me an Islamist supporter. You have no valid idea about me or my beliefs.
