Convoluted? Damn, Beamer! I see that you are a beast, too, with your wordplay. I had to google the word. Since it’s convoluted, difficult to follow, even for a brilliant guy such as yourself, can you spare ole LA some time, and tell me whether Shelby is projected to be 2A or 2AA? Thanks in advance.

Nobody knows lol. These projections really don't help much of anything except tell you what teams will probably make the playoffs.
Yeah, its much of nothing. It does look like they have Reidsville east, that's the only thing that stood out.
Agreed, but the one thing to note is by is much improved. The game will still be a blowout however.
I've been trying to figure it out myself....I'm trying to figure out what the hold up is on getting this year's ADM numbers....(while also wondering if they're using this year's, or last year's like they used for realignment?)...I believe Reidsville is definitely in the East this year due to the predetermined regions by conference (though Reidsville will definitely be in the West for the next four years, starting Fall 2021)
The HSOT projections really seem to take into account things AS THEY STAND after Week 4, with no projecting winners of games over the next 3 weeks...I will be working on the 2A & 2AA East projections for sure....if we get the ADM numbers soon....also I just emailed a bunch of people asking if the split conference rule is in effect this year (regarding whoever wins the 2A division of the Mid State 2A/3A between McMichael and Morehead would be seeded as a 1 or as an at-large wild card)

I noticed he only has the ECC getting one automatic spot. Conference actually gets two given the approved set up due to Spring Creek going Notre Dame and playing as an independent.

Yes, I saw that score, but there is a possibility that Morehead could still finish ahead of them in the conference standings....either way, most are not expecting either one of them to meet the criteria to get seeded as a conference champion in most years....wondering if they still would with this year's modified rules
I was thinking HSOT was right about that, since Spring Creek is playing an independent schedule and not their actual conference opponents, it seems like they are still ineligible for the playoffs, and that doesn't seem any different than had a team opted out of conference play...so, I figured the East Central would still only be guaranteed one playoff spot (like any other league with 6 teams [or less] participating in conference games)

Spring Creek, as much as I hope good things for them and that they improve to a somewhat respectable level. But if getting out of a conference is able to qualify you for the playoffs, then I see 10 other annual bottom dwellers that will look to do the same.
Central Davidson... I know that HSOT has to go with records... but Central Davidson shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as the top tier of the CCC. They're just sitting around waiting on next season when the CCC is a one horse race (Salisbury). Central is a second place team next year and that is more than good enough for that program.

Central isn't that lucky lol. They're going back to 3A with ND, OG and Ledford. Along with Asheboro and Montgomery Central, they'll be lucky to sniff second place anytime soon.
I assume you mean....surprised the state allowed Spring Creek to leave the conference and try to make it right with the other teams in that conference? I’m not surprised. I can’t imagine what all went on...over there in football head quarters (potentially working remotely) about how to handle it.....along with everything else! I think a lot of us understand it. May not like it! But.....understand it.

Why should the other six teams in the conference be penalized for what Spring Creek decided to do? Its not their fault that SC backed out. When the conference was put together there were seven teams. Its not like it was a six team league from the get go.

That being said... Who will be the #2 team in the CCC next year? North Rowan? Thomasville?
East is terrible.
West is terrible
South is terrible
Lexington is terrible (I'll go ahead and call it... They lose to South Davidson next year to cement the "worst ever team in Davidson County" award)
Salisbury, Tville and North Rowan should be the mainstays at the top. Lexington needs.... Something....

That is not how schools who miss the playoffs are going to look at it. Im guessing most people dont even know about it.
I understand the idea behind it, but as usual the NCHSAA will swear they have to study something for 3 years and have 64 meetings about it then never do anything, but will completely change other things on a whim with no input from anyone.
If you finish second in a 6 team league with a better record than the EC runner up and dont make the playoffs, youre gonna be mad and its a legit argument.

Understand what you are saying. I dont understand what the NCHSAA thinking was on this. I do know in 2019, the same thing happened but that year, unlike this year, the playoffs were the same as in the past.
I guess this was a "one off" type deal given the reduced schedule and reduced playoff field. Bad deal for everyone involved.
