Pros and cons

Here are my pros and cons for today, what are yours?

Pros

- More physical​

- Played hard​

- Fewer penalties, if you count just the real ones​

- Running game was effective, especially the option​

- Occasionally got pressure on Fields and a few sacks​

- Forced a punt in the 1st half against OSU​

- While a decisive loss, it wasn't an embarrassing one, given state of program, opponent, road game, etc​

Cons

- Lack of effective passing game. No completions further than 10 yards until McCaffery came in during garbage time​

- Lack of imagination on play calling. Weren't able to keep defense guessing after they adjusted and scored only 3 points in the 2nd half​

- Related to imagination, couldn't find ways to get our most explosive weapon, Wandale Robinson, involved (only 28 yards)​

- Two fumbles, after we led the nation last year​

- Defensive secondary gave up too many easy plays, with too much space given to receivers​

- Giving up 3rd and long conversions, including a 3rd & 13 running play​

- Still have B1G officials​

- No Husker volleyball to look forward to after a football loss​
