Prostate Biopsy

I had one last year. It wasn’t too bad. He said he was going to take 8 “bites”, but I wasn’t having too much discomfort during the procedure, so he took two more. Typically it’s 4 on each side, because they want to sample as much of your prostate as they can. The worst part is waiting for the results. My dad passed away from prostate cancer a few months prior, and my prostate number had suddenly increased for no apparent reason. I was a nervous wreck.
Thankfully my results came back clean. Just a slightly enlarged prostate, but perfectly normal for my age. You will have some bleeding in your urine, stool and ***** for 2-4 weeks following your biopsy. He made it very clear that regular ejaculation was the quickest way to get through that part, so my wife gave me a nightly tuggy (for Donnie Baker fans), until it went away. The amount of blood at first is a bit scary, but normal. Good luck, buddy.

I definitely do. And she’s an RN. That’s a huge bonus.
It's worth a try. My dad had prostate and colon cancer. Survived both but was in his 70's at the time. I'm twenty something years younger.
It would be so tempting to go to an asian massage parlor and pay for the happy ending. I’d start screaming during the big finish and just keep it going.
I'm in line to get one due to MRI results showing a spot. Not looking forward to it. Doc says I'll get anesthesia and won't feel pain - hmmm not totally convinced of that.

You’re going to feel it. I promise. But it’s not too bad. My urologist is basically a comedian, so that helped a little I guess. After he finished, he asked me if I enjoyed it as much as he did lol.
I had one about four years ago. Eleven of twelve samples were fine, but not so for number twelve. IIRC, part of the pre-biopsy prep involved taking one Xanax & one Oxycodone about forty-five minutes before the procedure. No real pain or discomfort at all.
