I think prostitution should be legalized. The women could all be medically checked out. The government would love the extra tax revenue, and I think it would prevent a lot of crime. Maybe if that Washington State grad student had a regular hook-up with a prostitute (it has been reported he was still a virgin), he would not have killed those 4 University of Idaho students. I think in some cases it would also be cheaper than dating. I am an old married man, but what I hear from my nephews is many women today have very high expectations of how a date should go and it often involves lots of money. One of my best friends has done the marriage thing, he has had more girlfriends than I can count, and he is kind of done with the whole thing. He lives in LA so every once in a while, he and his local boys jump in a car and head to their favorite brothel in Old Mexico. It would literally scare the hell out of me, but he seems to think it is a good time and worth the risk. If it were legal here, I would think it would be much safer than going south of the border.
