We may have lost but there was absolutely no quit in our players. We knew we were over matched with our defense inefficiency but there was always a hope that we could get one turnover or one more stop. Being behind 28-0 and then climbing back to lose by only 11 shows character in our players. Kyler played his heart out and showed leadership by his play and carried the team to play hard throughout which they did.
Two sour notes: After reviewing the fumble on the one yard line by Alabama again and again I can't see where they could reverse the call. Yes, his right elbow was clearly down however the ball was not visible from the angle they showed, so where was the ball. He did not have possession when his elbow hit and it wasn't seen again until after it rolled out from under him on the left side and picked up by Bolton. The referees signaled a fumble so where was the conclusive evidence that it wasn't a fumble. ??????
Point two: Not sure why LR called for the first onside kick. I think there was still over 8 minutes to play and down by 11. Let Alabama travel 75 yards for the winning TD not 50.
BOOMER SOONER!
