As usual, we missed a lot of chippies and layups which would have put us in it at the end tonight.
Not discouraged. In a couple of years I have no doubt we'll compete with anyone in the league - just keep recruiting. Some of the guys out there that we think are good are also likely to get passed over the next few years.
It's not so much that I'm discouraged by losing as it is that I'm frustrated by the constant inability to put the ball in the basket from near the rim. It's amazing sometimes when we miss and keep rebounding and keep missing from up close. It's clear that the effort's there, but there are times that we just can't seem to buy a bucket.
Our big men need to taught how to use the backboard when they are that close. Sooooo many missed shots two feet from the basket tonight.
I am happy though that they actually played straight up with him for 30 minutes but once again the first 10 minutes killed us.
